  1. Does 5.30C also include MQA? On my iDSD I'm using 5.2A because I want DSD512 and have no MQA files but would like to have those "Major Optimisations"
  2. That is correct. The 1st column is input from SACD plugin or DSD Processor, the 2nd and 3rd columns let you configure output type depending on incoming sample rate and base FQ. In the picture below all 44.1K DoP DSD incoming from the plugin is stripped to native DSD while 48k is left "as is" which is what works best with XMOS based devices like my iDSD micro. As the Combo384 supports 48K based native DSD you could change all sample rates in the 2nd coumn to DSD aswell.
  3. Sorry, I don't quite follow what you are trying to say. Since version 0.9.7 SACD plugin only outputs DoP so either foo_dsd_asio or DSDTranscoder are necessary to output native DSD. For native DSD with DSDTranscoder it is necessary to have SACD plugin (with or without DSD Processor which also outputs DoP) "output mode" set to DSD (or DSD+PCM) --> Playback/Output/Device set to DSD:ASIO:DSDTranscoder (DoP/Native) --> Output/ASIO/ASIO Drivers/DSDTranscoder set to Combo384 and the desired sample rates set to DSD.
  4. I have not used my Combo384 since I got the iDSD micro but I had no problems with it running native DSD through foo_dsd_asio up to DSD512 into a Buffalo III DAC. I can't see why it wouldn't work with DSDTranscoder if properly configured. As the plugin by itself outputs DoP it is limited to DSD128 on the Amanero which is fine if you don't want to upsample to higher rates.
  5. The guide in this link has been updated to show how to configure it: https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/digital/pc-software/foobar-2000-for-dummies-part-3-new-experimental-sacd-plugin-v-0-9-x/
  6. Have you tried the new DSDTranscoder component?
  7. With XMOS drivers uou should use Mode 4. DSD256 DoP is see by the XMOS driver as 705.6 or 768KHz PCM hence the error message. As your DAC doesn't support DSD256 DoP, In the above pic you'll need to change in the 2nd column DSD256 to DSD128 for all 48KHz based sample rates: 48, 96, 192 and 384KHz. BTW, there is an error with 352.8 configured to DSD128 when it should be DSD256. The screen capture was done quite a while back and it also shows V. 0.9.2 proxy.
  8. I'm afraid the 176.4 and 352.2 problem can't be fixed, if you have many albums in those sample rates it is a real bummer. Fortunately neither is too common...
  9. For those wanting to fiddle a bit and have the best of both families (0.9.x and 1.0.x): https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/digital/pc-software/foobar-2000-for-dummies-part-3-new-experimental-sacd-plugin-v-0-9-x/
  10. In the Proxy setup window, under "ASIO Driver" you should select the Sony's one and under "DSD Playback Method" select "ASIO Native". Also don't forget to set the SACD plugin to output DSD. BTW, I assume you are using SACD plugin 0.6.6 and ASIO Proxy 0.6.5, correct?
  11. Foobar won't output DSD without the proxy as it doesn't support DoP. The only way to make it work is installing foo_dsd_output and choosing it as Foobar's output then set it up to use you DAC's ASIO driver I've tested it in a few DACs and has always worked perfectly.
  12. Did you install and configure Foobar+SACD plugin to output using foo_dsd_proxy? If you don't know how to do it take a look here: Foobar 2000 for Dummies (Part 2) | DIY-Audio-Heaven
  13. There is a free (only have to pay 4 USD for P&P) isolator PCB for the Amanero available here: Free Amanero Isolator bare PCB Twin pack - DIYINHK I have one with NVE IL715E for I2S and it works great, it can be mounted directly on top of the Combo384 or used with 20 wire flat ribbon for extra reach.
  14. Sorry, you are both right. The box I mentioned only appears when ASIO output is selected (V. 19.0.100).
  15. Have you cheched the "DSD bitstream in DoP format" box (under "audio"->"device settings") and set "Bistream" to DSD (under "Settings"->"Bitstream")?
