  1. Those were some cool looking speakers and the wattage isn't bad, but is that a 2.1 setup. I am trying to have clear, crisp sound in the left and right channel. I have my 500 watt sub that is connected to a 500 watt amp, which is then plugged in the optical audio output on my soundcard. Now I want to know the best way to set my sub so that it doesn't sound to boomy, but blends in with the L/R Channels for movie watching. Inside the Xonar Audio Control Center, they have adjustments for EQ, can set it to amount of audio channels (e.g. headphone, 2.0, 4.0 & 5.1 & 7.1 surround sound), spdif out, FlexBass, which controls the LFE Crossover Frequency and I have that set at 70Hz during the day and around 95 to 100 during the night. With all the above mentioned, what could I do to better the sub for blending with the speakers?
  2. First off, before I get to the specs, I am new to the forum and quite frankly, I know that my setup is on the bargain side of things, but I really can't complain with the setup. Anyways onto the specs: 1. ASUS Xonar DG - Headphone Amp & PCI 5.1 Audio Card 2. Cyber Acoustics CA-3001 2.1 Powered Speaker System - 2 Satellites = 2 Watts/Channel x 2 @ 4ohm - Subwoofer = 4 Watts @ 4 ohm - 16 watts total system peak power One thing I have to add and this might sound crazy, but I do have my sub switched out and have a 500 watt sub connected to a basic 500 watt amp. So really I have around 516 watts altogether. Now onto the question. I want to know using the EQ and the other settiings in the Xonar Audio Control Center, what should be set at what to get a high fidelity or high definition sound to thise setup. Once again I know it's cheap, but if you have a suggestion for a upgrade that is relatively cheap, but still better in performance for speakers, let me know. I just bought the sound card and really like it for what I do, which is listen to music and watch movies, not much gaming, more of a media buff.
