  1. That's always the best move, but if you get them multiple times a week, week in week out occasionally you might succumb to getting feisty and or trying to let guy know to be realistic.
  2. I'd just like to recap dialog before I was threatened: Bear: "How did the price go up from what you have listed on Audiogon?" Audio Rev: The same way it got down to your offer of $1250. I was being a wise-ass, I don't appreciate absurd offers. You sound like a nice guy Bjorn, I'd suggest making realistic offers. Though in this case I'm not interest in going below $1625.
  3. The rhetorical question that Bear ask has an obvious answer: If you insult sellers by making absurd low ball offers don't expect to be treated particularly well. We have about 250 customers a year and I do tell about one or two a year to get lost, though this level of escalation is exceptional. I think in reading the my response I let Bear know why I jumped price almost as much above asking as he did below asking price. "I was being a wise-ass, I don't appreciate absurd offers. You sound like a nice guy Bjorn, I'd suggest making realistic offers. Though in this case I'm not interest in going below $1625." I don't see anything wrong with this reply to his inquiry on why price jumped to $2000. I found his reply to be spiteful, threatening not to mention way over-reacting and I let him know it. I'm not patient with people that make threats to me because they didn't hear what they wanted. So here we are. You be the judge. I'd like to point to my impeccable feedback and over 3600 very happy customers while Bear states he gets treated poorly by every dealer. Really. What a shock.
