Hello Everyone.
All the music I currently listen to are in high quality flac files which is where I started. I now am looking to potentially buy a mac as a source. The question is should I go with a mac mini or can I go with a macbook pro (if so ideally what year of mini should I buy)? Do I need to do heavy modifications such as swapping the PSU or changing out the power cords?
I am looking at purchasing a nice amp dac combo (more than likely Schiit Yggy and Rag combo) that will be connected via USB.
I am just wondering how deep do I need to go in order to ideally get great sound out of my computer?
I also have a gaming PC which I currently have an inexpensive amp/dac connected via USB which I think sounds fine but as I find better headphones like the Audeze LCD-X and Hifiman HE-400i I want to be able to extract as much audio quality as I can.
I have looked at the USB Audio Regen product and am just wondering if that is ideally as far as I need to go to get clean USB quality to my dac?
