  1. Hi, newly registered. Question- has anyone had any problems with the SOtM pci-express card within Linux? If I'm not mistaken, the card should be plug and play with any modern distro, voyage, mpdpup, vortexbox etc... Problem I'm having, whether running the card with mpdpup's USB drive as memory OS, running a hard drive as host, as well as trying various configurations with music on same hard drive, music on different hard drive... Running MPaD, I'm can play about 2 songs within my database, sometimes more, but without fail, it always comes to the point where mpd hangs on ANY distro. If I unplug from the SOtM card, and then plug directly into the motherboard, no problems what so ever. Solid as a rock. I'm beginning to think something is wrong with the card. Anybody experience this? btw- motherboard is intel DN2800mt. Card is powered by a 12v discrete Paul Hynes regulator, with a custom torrid transformer. should also mention I'm using the pci express extender cable and have tried the card with and without it. Same problem.
