  1. A screenshot of the Playback Options is attached - is that what you mean by audio mixer settings? Sorry-not sure what you mean by "Give full volume while playing DSD ". Thanks for the help.
  2. Hi, I've set up my USBridge with a USB flash drive and Volumio. It plays everything fine except some DSD256 files I just added. The DAC is a Light Harmonic Geek Pulse dac which is specified to play native DSD256 files. Each time I try to play a file it produces this error message: Error Failed to open "alsa" [alsa]; Error opening ALSA device "softvolume"; snd_pcm_hw_params() failed: Invalid argument I have no idea what this means. Can anyone advise me on this? Many thanks.
  3. I've checked all the settings in System Preferences and in Audio Midi Set-Up. The other thing I forget to mention is that sometimes instead of too much volume, there is no volume at all (!) even if I close iTunes and Audirvana. It is a real PITA!
  4. I have recently started using Audirvana Plus 1.4.5 with iTunes on my mac Mini OSX10.8.2. The sound quality is excellent and there are no problems listening to my music files via iTunes/Audirvana. However, when I am not listening to a file that is not in iTunes e.g. a YouTube video or sound sample on a website, the volume is at full blast and there is no way of controlling it. On YouTube I can use the volume slider on the video to reduce the volume but it has to be on virtually zero otherwise it's too loud. I have tried varying all the settings in Audirvana, I have tried having iTunes and Audirvana open +/or closed but nothing stops the basic volume setting on my Mac from being at max. Any help would be gratefully received. Cheers
