Hi sedest, okay, but this is in fact a new installation onto the second stick but not what I understand as a comfortable update process if I look at my Windows or Linux computers.

Hi Kipeta, is it possible to have Daphile on a bootable USB stick which can be automatically updated if a new version of Daphile comes out? I do not like reinstalling it everytime a new version occurs ;-)

Thanks for your efforts... the problem is solved now. I just reinstalled Daphile using the "Universal-USB-Installer" instead of "UNetBootin" and everything works fine includind DSD-over-PCM.

It shows "Media Server has crashed!" "Media Server Restart" "Reset all Media Server Settings" In general "daphile." works and I can adjust the settings.

Dear all, the former version worked flawlessly... unfortunately the latest one is not working at all. What I can see Daphile can not find the music storage HDD.

You are right, dbpoweramp is not able to handle dff.- or dsf.-files. But the freeware Korg Audiogate works very well for DSD.

Okay... update... now after some hours I got the right message in Daphile but still could not manage to get access to the web GUI... not with another PC nor with the iPad. The Windows computers now can "see" Daphile but tells me that there is "something unknown" wrong so I could not find a network link. Is there no possibility to start the installation process from the (stick booted) Daphile computer without any network mess?

Hello Kipeta, now I went the route via the Win32 Disk imager and could successfully create a booting USB Flash stick with the latest Daphile version. The computer starts with that but stops with "Waiting for Network Connection..."! The Music PC is connected via LAN wire to the router. What can I do else? So far I can not "see" the Daphile Live version and logically can not make an installation or anything else.

My Music PC is build into a Streacom FC8 evo case. Small form factor... amazing result!

My analog and digital chains are very close now regarding the sound quality so it really depends on the source quality which one sounds better. In the case of Lorde "Pure Heroine" the DR value tells the truth. The vinyl album sounds better than the digital versions.

Hi, did anyone compared the sound quality of the two dedicated Linux music OS VortexBox and Daphile with a given standard like J.River? Thanks for your experiences!

Hello Kipeta, now I managed to install Daphile onto an USB stick and played a little bit to get comfortable with the "handling". So far I am really impressed. Chapeau! Is it possible to update to your newly finished actual version of Daphile without a fresh installation? In the menu point "firmware" I could not see an option like this. If it is not possible to update the USB installation (which would be very sad) what is your recommodation to install Daphile parallel to an existing WIN8.1 OS? Thanks in advance for your help!
