  1. Hello all. I've been following this forum in a read-only mode for a while now. I started off on the computer audio path last fall with the following: Core Duo Mac Mini with Decibel (had the Mac lying around the house) Bel Canto e.ONE DAC 1.5 (new) Bel Canto REF500M, Pair (used) Wireworld Ultraviolet USB cable (new) XLO Electric UltraPlus XLR cables (new) SignalCable Ultra bi-wire (new) JBL L880 (had from previous system) and an APC G5 power conditioner (had around the house). I ripped all of my CDs to FLAC and tossed them onto a pair of FireWire drives I had. The system has been pretty decent so far, a massive massive upgrade from the old iMac + crappy Sony receiver I was using. However, the Mac Mini has killed it's 3rd boot drive, and I'm tired of messing with it. So... upgrade time! I have the following upgrades planned: C.A.P.S. Carbon Bel Canto e.ONE DAC 2.5 (trade-up at my local shop) Bel Canto REFLink (new) SignalCable AES/EBU cable for the REFLink<>DAC I'm not particularly interested in doing upgrades every six months or a year, so I'd like to build a fairly future-proof system with these upgrades. What am I missing, what is over-kill, etc? Basically, please pick apart my system and tell me where the (on paper, at least) shortcomings are. It seems difficult to find reviews of the REFLink, but I've been impressed with the other Bel Canto gear I have, so I'm willing to pull the trigger on it. Thanks!
