  2. That is what I want to do using the cat6 cable. Surely there is a way to send a digital stream from the iMac to the Delius using the cat6 cable? I use Audirvana which identifies the DAC over the optical link, what I am looking for is to do the same over a wired link.
  3. My computer (iMac) and audio equipment (dCS Delius DAC) are some 20 feet apart. They are currently connected by an optical cable. I want a wired connection and have a cat6 cable laid between the two. My question is how to connect the computer to the cat6 cable (the ethernet port is already used to connect to a network) and how to connect to the DAC (which has SPDIFF and RCA inputs)? Would the following work - a USB to ethernet adapter between computer and cable, and a video balun between cable and DAC? If not, I would welcome suggestions, the simpler the better.
