Very cool, I've been at IFA in Berlin for a couple of days and had a listen - amazing sound.

Looking forward to hearing the system. Smyth Research are coming along to a Headfi event here in London in October with a room set up specially for this.

New to the forum, so hello guys. I'm going to try this myself, have only recently started using audioirvana, but I also use Airfoil ( AirPlay aftermarket software) that let's you choose the source for serving airplay around the house to different AirPlay speakers - works well with Enqueue and Spotify premium previously.

Thanks, i've seen the crack amp mentioned quite a bit, however not available in the UK, so didn't look too closely at it.

Thanks for the reply. Have been told that the HD800's can be difficult to marry up to an amp / dac as they don't work well with evrything.

Hi chaps,have fallen into high end headphones over teh past year, started off with a pair of Amperiors, then IE80 earbuds, then a set of Momentum's and have recently bought a pair of HD800's. I was using the Fiio 17 + E09K combo plugged into my MacBook Pro Retina for everything before I got the HD800's and all was fine, however I'm finding that the HD800's sound too bright and have very little low end presence and generally do not suit the Fiio setup. I'm now looking for a decent amp / dac and could do with some help in choosing something. Budget wise I'm looking to around £800.
