  1. Just got a new pi and Tidal is on in 15 min. On raspbian install rygel. Update rygel.config to MPRIS true. Install QMMP. In settings tick MPRIS plugin. Control from Bubble: qmmp will be your renderer.
  2. Can I replace volumio with dietpi? If yes, is there a guide. Thank you
  3. Davy Wentzler Home has written the android audio driver which is a basis for UAPP. Fantastic software that since 2014 allowed many of us to use phones or tablets or PC (Android 86) with a dac for high quality audio. It is as excellent on android kit kat device as on Pixel. UAPP is also a UPNP renderer. On the other note, what are the real issues?
  4. The problem with charging and otg led me to Android X86 . I am running Phoenix OS on windows laptop connected to Aqvox dac. , UAPP runs flawless, you do not need OTG, standard cable work.Unlike phone or tablet, laptop has power and Ethernet. I am only listening to Tidal now, and UAPP is fantastic with Tidal.
  5. There is an android app called USB Audio Player Pro. A phone or whatever android device running UAPP is connected to my dac. Tidal via this setup sounds to me significantly better then anything I can get out of windows.
  6. Am I wrong to say that Dac is not as critical in Pro Audio monitoring as it is for audiophiles. AOIP breakout boxes are not expensive AM2, Amphenol Amphe-Dante RJ45r, DiGiGridQ. There cannot be any quality dacs inside these units at these prices. Maybe SQ is not as important in monitoring? Please explain.
  7. Hi Steve , i got Tidal to play through USB audio player pro. But it is complicated way. You need bubble upnp paid version to make Tidal playlist and ark mc to read those playlists and output to UAPP. However I am told that UAPP will soon be updated with Tidal option.
  8. I found our about ap-linux from this thread. I have never used Linux before. Now after a week or two I have a fine sounding music server which I can control from my nexus. I have enjoyed this project very much, as it was also my intro to Linux. Thank you mlerota for your work, great website , documentation and help via forum. To all the ney sayers on this thread: if you can put together something better, do it, instead of posting negative comments to show how smart you are .
