  1. I built the CAPS v3 Carbon media server and used J River 19, Dragonfly DAC and Window 8. All is well, everything worked perfectly...then I added the SOtM tX-USBexp card ($350) and, oh my, great improvement over the Intel DN2800MT USB connection. My problem now is the system locks up, especially with high bit rate files (but not always). The solution is always to unplug the Dragon Fly dac, reconnect, then the music streams again. What am I doing wrong? Why did this never happen with the onboard USB but now is an issue with the SOtM tX-USBexp card? Can someone give me some ideas on how to trouble shoot? Thanks
  2. Very helpful...thanks for your support...slowly getting there with good computer audio stuff.
  3. I am trying to set up a USB DragonFly DAC, J River, Windows 8 and a Computer Audiophile Pocket Server and need help trouble shooting. The problem is the DragonFly never changes colors based on different music bit rates, but rather only displays "pink". I recently purchased a high bit rate file from HDTRACKS and still the is no change in the color. I am attaching my configuration settings for JRiver and Windows. Can you please help? Is it operator error or do you think something is wrong with the DragonFly? Thank you in advance for help with this. Pat DragonFlyDAC.pdf
  4. I am halfway through the CAPS v3 build and noticed i ordered the SOtM tX-USB Audiophile PCI to USB Audio Card when I should have ordered the SOtM tX-USBexp version. Even though the web site was somewhat confusing he policy of the company is "no returns". Does anyone know of a riser that would allow this PCI card to work with the Intel DN2800MT motherboard or a out $300. Thanks for some help
