  1. Hello, Your measurement is at a single location? as opposed to multiple locations with Dirac? (which I suppose is averaged) My speakers are supposed to be more or less flat on-axis but are more decreasing with frequency off-axis (more especially over 10Khz). Measuring with Dirac at multiple locations is supposed to give me a more decreasing curve than a single measurement on-axis. I also took my measurements at different heights. the mic was not at tweeter level.
  2. Hello, I try to stay flat and follow my speakers for high frequencies. I have -8db at 20KHz at my listening point, which is 3m away from the speakers (natural roll-off from my speakers). I believe it might be more or less depending on your listening position (and I suppose also depending on the room and your speakers). I found information at http://www.ohl.to/calculators/targetcurve.php and also in French at Courbes ISO 2969 X et Bruel & Kjaer
  3. Same problem with older version of Dirac (1.0.4) and Mac OS Yosemite.
  4. Hello, I have Dirac 1.1.0 and Audirvana 1.5.12. I don't have Version 2 of Audirvana (even though I tested it). I'm now using Jriver but only recently. I didn't have much issues. Some occasional crashes and some other unrelated issues. You need to make sure that Direct Mode and Hog mode are unchecked (as well as integer, but I think this is not available if Hog Mode (exclusive access) is disabled). I think Damien from Audirvana had specified it, a few months ago. So you must have done it. Sébastien
  5. Hello, For what I understand, this is not the same issue. The issue we are talking about is when changing frequency, the sound is randomly corrupted. But this is corrupted until the DAC is restarted. Your issue is different : I'm having the same problem, but this is not related to Yosemite / Dirac. I'm using Jriver, but I used Audirvana and it was the same : You need to change the latency to a few seconds, when changing frequency under the section "bridge" in audio system / preferences. Sorry I don't have the exact english wording, as my version is French. Unless, you have already done it. Sébastien
  6. I agree with you. But as far I remember, back to Leopard, it has always been the case with Mac OS. it's a nice system but with its own caveats. In my opinion, networking is one of them. Network shares are not reliable nor efficients. Microsoft with Windows got it right long time ago. PS : Looking at your idea of developing scripts to remotely control your music from your desktop, I'm using Jriver on my macbook to control remotely the music on my mac mini with Jriver . (Jriver has also a remote control on iOS). It's actually the main reason I have it.
  7. This is because Itunes doesn't find your files. (actually hasn't when started). are you files on a NAS ? If you restart Itunes, it should work.
  8. I just tried the optical output (mini toslink) of the Mac connected to the DAC and it works fine on Yosemite /latest version of Dirac. Is this issue related to USB and Yosemite ?
  9. Do you have this issue only at the beginning of a track or for any duration ?
  10. Just installed the previous version 1.04. Same issue (on Yosemite). Just tried on my macbook, which is on Maverick (10.9.5) with latest version 1.1.0 build 5109. I cannot reproduce the issue. it's working fine, even though the beginning (1-2 seconds) of the track doesn't play when changing frequency. But that's something, which can be tuned in Jriver (as well as in Audirvana I believe). I tried 44.1, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 Khz Sébastien
  11. done. I will try the previous version to see if there is the same issue. Sébastien
  12. Same problem here, on a new mac mini with Yosemite and DAC attached. I'm using Jriver. I could try with previous versions of Dirac, but I suppose it's more related to Yosemite.
  13. Are you suggesting having a slope like this one at the low end ?
  14. @Flavio Hello, Could you tell us how is designed the "Autotarget curve". Is that a Dirac House curve, or is it calculated averaging the speaker response in the room ? Thanks
  15. While I agree it would be nice to have this clip indicator on Mac, I'm using Audio Hijack (but some others might do it) to check clipping. Dirac -> sound flower , Soundflower hijacked. (it works with system audio as well). It might not be totally accurate, but I found out (in my room configuration) I need to leave -8dB (maybe - 7dB) on some recent recordings with heavy bass.
