  1. Thats funny, ALO is here in town, I bought my solo there and thats the place I dropped $600 in inter-connects for my portable headphone rig. Second thing that is funny is that Moon audio is were I purchased the cable for my custom IEMs. I never thought to go to either place because in past experience they were very, very expensive. They do meet the under $100 though. Thanks for going to where I dared not. Here is the thing that is thirdly funny, after spending $1000 dollars on custom cables two years ago I have been scared to death to use anything cheap. It's a fear of not being able to tell the difference. I figure ignorance is bliss. The only reason I am looking for a cable now is that I like cloth covered cables for certain things. I guess I wil go say Hi to Ken at ALO again. Save on shipping. Thanks Jsmith
  2. Not to go off in a different direction but why is it so hard to find quality, short cables? I need to find a .5MM to 1MM cloth jacketed (I like cloth for portable. no tangles) usb A to mico for week for my portable dac and I can't find a thing under $100 which is silly. I really wish I could make my own.
  3. I wonder when that will come out. I doubt it will be soon.
  4. I am looking for a mac program in the vain of Audirvana or Fidelia that includes an EQ. Although I love Audirvana when I play through my desk speakers when I use headphones it is way too bright and I keep having to go back to iTunes to EQ the output. The clarity is wonderful compared to iTunes but I can only listen for a song or two. Thins for any suggestions!
  5. I believe they were one of the places I emailed a week or so ago and they told me they were out of stock and waiting. I would suppose that means they are new but the demo doesn't compute... or I am nuts (or old enough to easily forget)
  6. Has anybody heard when the 192 is going back on sale? I was told last week and then this week and so far it's a no show. I really want to compare one with the audio gd DI-V3 I have coming. Yeah, I like buying things.
  7. Someone is smiling on me. I guess it would be Kingwa. He just email me and is shipping it out in the next couple of hours.
  8. Ok, I am sold. But alas.. I waited too long to order and they are off for the holiday. I really, really hate waiting
  9. Ok, thats going to have to be on my wish list. Somehow I had it in my head that it would be $50 to $100.. yes that was rather naive of me. I am starting to wonder if I should stop my order for the V-Link 192 and get a Audio GD DI-V3 with the DI-Psu (external power supply) instead.
  10. Hi all, I have been lurking around here for awhile figuring out how I want to jump into, what appears to be, a tremendous suck of money. Sorry, I meant hobby. I am looking for advice so please patient. I have ordered headphones, dac and a tube amp. The other thing thats on order (technically its back ordered) is a Music Fidelity V-Link 192. The equipment will be hanging off of my Macbook Air using Audirvana Plus. I have read that relying on USB power to run a device like the v-link is not advisable and to use some sorta of external power that runs between the MBA and the V-Link. This actually makes sense to me which is odd in itself but due to it making sense to me I can not find anything that might fill this roll. To make it worse I can't find the thread I originally found this is info in. Does anyone have an opinion and/or suggestion?
