  1. Im just going to stick with the onboard filters. I can't really better them. I like the lower prering but it sounds a tad flat.. And the .65 sounds too forward. It was fun though!
  2. Listening at steepness 1, cutoff 1.05, preringing 0 (very similar output to an NOS DAC) To me sounds really good. I see the zig zag graph but have no idea what that means. Linear seems to make the waves more equal and consistent. Maybe real music is unequal and that's why is seems more listenable to me. It comes down to more of a feeling than actual sound study. Maybe just the way I listen.
  3. Ill try when I get home from work. I'm going to use some q-tips. Lol.
  4. Ahh.... No wonder I hear no difference. As to the Concero filters, I do hear a difference. The biggest difference, being off vs using either the FIr or apodizing filter. The difference between the 2 filters is much more subtle.
  5. I have a Ressonnence Concero Dac. And I do the multiples of 2 upsampling.... Where 44.1 becomes 176 and 48, 192k What should 200 steep and .5 cutoff with .6 prering sound like. Poop right? I'm using Patricia Barber as music for testing.
  6. I have upsampling on too. Weird. Do I need to quit out of A+? I think I'm going to just buy a Bose system! Lol
  7. I was just going to ask the same thing. (Yesterday) I did 200 steep, .5 cutoff and I hear no difference. I have pretty good ears at least I thought. Lol that should have no treble right? I hit stop in A+. Dont quit out though. I think this is bs. Anyone??
  8. That's shocking. I thought it was one of the best yet. Weird that it would be so different. Going to check when I get home.
  9. The guys who make the Concero are releasing an update soon that will allow upsampling to go to 384hz. More fun! Allowing DXD playback.
  10. Listening to the 13, .91, .3 sounds super natural , organic out of my speakers. Sweet!
  11. Lower steepness seems more natural vs higher with lower nyquist.
  12. Here is what the engineer at Resonnence had to say vs onboard Concero filters... "Mike: If he upsamples in the software he will not be able to use our upsampling. There is nothing wrong with this if the upsampling is done properly. I have no experience with the izotope filters. It will come down to if it is well implemented and the sound."
  13. Ok. Well I believe with the Ressonence Concero you can turn off the upsampling completely. This is a Sabre Dac made by the makers of the actual Sabre chip. They give you 2 onboard filters... Apodizing and IIR Filter and the other option is Off or no Filter.
  14. So these izotrope filters are just as good as the upsampling filters on the DAC itself? Do you lose anything signal wise by up sampling pre Dac vs doing it in the dac?
  15. Wow the graphs are great... Thnx!
