  1. sonicTransporter i5 (Roon Server) > microRendu (RoonReady) > exD-Sonore DSD DAC 6 TB Music stored on Synology DS412+ NAS SB Touch makes a nice clock I can see from across the room
  2. I wonder where a quality FLAC rip of the CD would fall in the preference list? Gives me pause as I consider which version to purchase, what a mess!
  3. You are correct on the power supply. The IEC terminal is on one end of the 150W FSP Adapter so the AC cord is detachable, on the other end is a fixed cord that terminates in a male 4-pin mini-DIN connector. This power supply brick is all external and connects to the case and ultimately the PicoPSU through the female end of the mini DIN connector which is mounted on a small plate that is screwed to the case. Not really much to choose from between the two cases as they both look to be high-quality and the components fit fine. Chris mentioned that the black Streacom shows fingerprints, the black HD-Plex doesn't as it is powder-coated, I'll mention again my preference for what I think is a tidier power connection at the case for the HD-Plex.
  4. I found the case while considering a build of the v3 Carbon, preference for the 4-pin Mini DIN DC connection sealed the deal. It's a really good case.
  5. I was browsing cases while considering a build of a Carbon and found the H5.S, my preference for the DC connection vs. the Streacom sealed the deal.
  6. No problem with the length of the cable; when you order the H5.S case with the PicoPSU it comes with a 4-pin Mini DIN cable that terminates in a mounting plate that fits the case, and is plenty long enough. See it here under Package Content: HDPLEX H5.S Fanless Computer Case - HDPLEX INC
  7. Finished the build of my v3 Zuma Saturday night; no big changes from Chris' specs, used a HD-Plex H5.S case and 128 GB on the Samsung 840 Pro because of availability. Installed Win 8 Pro & JRMC 18 last night, everything has gone smoothly so far. Still deciding on a USB DAC and resisting the urge to get a USB/SPDIF converter, so it will be a while before it goes in the rack.
