  1. I got the new one yesterday and now I have a new problem. It works great with 16 bit 44100 stuff, but when fed higher resolution (whether with WASAPI or Direct Sound) I get a small pop and then nothing. When downsampled it works again with the Dragonfly lighting up green.
  2. Thanks for the warm welcome! I tried another pair and the problems persisted. I'll let you know how it goes. Glad to know I am not the only one .
  3. I was going to do another edit but the option isn't there so feel free to merge them if the forum gods here want to . I wanted to add that the WASAPI/Spotify problem is also on my laptop and I had only tested it on my desktop.
  4. Stumbled here after doing a Google search, so first post here. Hi all! I have already had Audio Advisor ship me a new one but I wanted to share my story and see if any others had anything similar happen and if they solved it... It all started a few days after Christmas when I had it connected to my laptop. When I plugged it in it gave me pops and crackles with playback for a few minutes and then disappeared. Music was fine after that for about a day after which it degraded into something that happened almost everytime I connected it to the computer (laptop and desktop). It would take 5ish seconds to several minutes of playback and then it would sound spectacular until I disconnected it. Plugging it back in would result in me having to wait for awhile to sort itself out. A couple days ago it began to randomly cut out during playback only on my laptop. Wiggling the headphone plug would bring the sound back but it happened sporadically through a two hour listening period (10-15 times total). Called Audio Advisor at that point and asked for a replacement. Should arrive around Wednesday and I can send this one back. Over the past two days it has gotten worse and worse, degrading into an almost nightmare to listen to music. When I went to plug it in just an hour ago Spotify would not play. It just gave me silence and the occasional pop/crackle. Reseating the DF in a different port didn't work. On a hunch I shut Spotify down and powered foobar up with WASAPI-Event enabled and played a random FLAC track. What do you know? It worked flawlessly. Closing foobar and reopening Spotify and I get nothing again. What is freaky is when I got pops and crackles before it always happened in foobar but cleared up. Spotify used to be the same. Now foobar is completely fine and Spotify won't play anything. Both my XPS laptop and homebuilt gaming desktop are running Windows 7 64-Bit. XPS L502x Laptop Intel i7 2670QM 8GB DDR3 RAM Gaming Desktop AMD Phenom II x4 B45 MSI 870-G45 8GB G. Skill DDR3 1600 MSI GTX 460 Cyclone 1GB Corsair CX500 500 Watt PSU (Edit) I had a strange thought. Maybe it's Windows causing the feedback and since WASAPI bypasses Windows it all works out. Tried again in foobar and I got static and distortion at first but like it usually does it cleared up and played fine. The moment I shut it down I got a ton of feedback.
