I am completely new here and am a very newbie with audio things... I hope this is a good venue for my questions: otherwise, I apologize... Moreover, I am sorry for my poor english.
I currently listen to my FLAC/MP3 files in my main (small...) room through a PC (Ubuntu) with Focal XS Book speakers. I am quite happy with this solution that I recently chose: this is much better than what I used to have. But I sometimes feel the music could be more precise, it should be possible that the instruments be better identified and placed in the room ("spatialized"?), the sound (and particularly the bass) may be deeper... Pop/Rock is ok, but this is particularly a concern for classical music and jazz.
Do you have an opinion, whether it would be worth it for me to buy a Mydac? Would I (who do not have particularly good ears, but like to listen to good music) hear a difference as compared to my current system? What USB cable (reasonable price...) would you advice?
