  1. Hello Bogi, I forgot to mention that in order to make it work here, I had to disable the DSP conversion option (MathAudio Room EQ). First trial resulted in converted files that were large in size as any .WAV normally are, but with no sound at all... Guess that is a problem from the Foobar conversion with MathAudio DSP, nothing to do with your solution. Once the DSP conversion was disabled it began to work just fine and also much faster!

    HQ Player

Thanks A LOT bogi !!! You saved my day! I already implemented your solution and it works nice, just need to be followed carefully step by step. Although I loved the HQP results, even playing just FLAC´s to a simple DAC, with only PCM, the music is clearly better. But... I was about to quit using this player because it can´t even let us play directly a folder with music files, it insists in ordering the music files in its own way, not friendly at all. The possibility of using Foobar to select the files is a game changer, at least for me...

    HQ Player

Thank You Miska! I managed to get a "vintage" Core i7 920 system, guess the real quad cores will be a great advantage for my initial tests with upconverting FLAC to DSD64 or 128 using HQPlayer. Also, I can´t find a way to simply play the song files in the order they are on the HD folders. The program only shows an option to order the songs for artist/performer/album/song, and I need to choose one by one from that list to create a playlist bellow to play. Is there an easier way to simply play all the songs directly from the HD folder??? Regards, Jose

    HQ Player

Hello, I´m considering an Intel NUC with Core i7 5557U to use with HQPlayer and W10 or WS2012R2, my plan is to convert 44/16 Flac´s to DSD64 or 128 (I use an Auralic VEGA DAC). Would this work??? Or maybe, a Core i5 or i3 broadwell would be ok? Or will I really need more processing power? The reason I choosed a broadwell CPU is because of the very low power (28W i7 or 15W i3/i5) and noise from the system, maybe I can even replace the stock cooler with a fan-less one. Also, these NUC´s are small but easy to implement a battery power to the SSD and I guess the use of an Upton Audio Regen would replace the use of a dedicated USB board. Thanks!
  5. I purchased a power supply from them as soon as the $100 off promo started. The package is still missing, my last notice from them was that there was no way to track the shipping... So, BEWARE, it really looks like a fraud !!!
