  1. Question: when you configure Subsonic to play music as "External player with playlist", you basically save a "play.m3u" file on your mac. Then I'm only able to reproduce it from Vox. What if I want to open it with audirvana or JRMC? They don't seem to work.
  2. What software do you use on the PC or Mac side?
  3. I know it's not "properly audiophile", but I find Subsonic to be a great piece of software for streaming a library of music to various devices (both local and remote, desktop and mobile) in a very convenient way. I was wondering...Does anyone here use it? Has anyone found a proper way to stream native FLAC content without transcoding to mp3?
  4. 1. I purchased the Mytek Stereo 192-DSD because of extremely good value for the money. Bought it second hand in as new condition for €800. Bargain. 2. Try it if you can. I usually like music upsampled to 2xDSD. JRiver or HQPlayer are the only software on mac that do the trick in real time. 5. No concerns, they work perfectly and don't have any impact to the sound (to my ears). 6. Choose with your ears!
  5. I apologise for any misunderstanding. English is not my native language, as you can easily tell
  6. The title implies only that LH's made lots of money out of their crowdfunding campaigns, which is in my opinion good for this industry as a whole, but turned out to be somehow lagging in customer support, shipment and product development timing.
  7. To me, FW sounds slightly more open and forward, clearer with better definition. Too bad JRiver does not support real time upsampling do 2x DSD using Firewire on Mac
  8. Why is it ignorant? They have (hats off to them) been able to crowdfund very successful campaigns. I was expecting them to live up to their promise in terms of customer support and satisfaction. Nothing about products here. I have received my geek out and it sounds really good, but this is not the matter.
  9. These guys are doing a great job of building a very nice and free playback app. I like the design, though this version packs so many new features that it somehow "pollutes" the original minimalistic approach i liked so much.
  10. Thanks Gavin for this answer, and for your private answer on your Customer Service. As a founder of a company myself, I know there are many invisible complexities behind a visible one. The only thing i would recommend is: don't promise anything to your customers which you can't keep. This is seen as a lie and a major disappointment. I hope my issue, behind the upsetting, may help tighten some screws. Best, Leonardo.
  11. So, LH refused to refund me because "pledged items are not refundable." Too bad i didn't pledge on kickstarter for the Geek Out, i pre.ordered it on the LH website. They finally sent me the item... Though not with UPS as they claimed they would but with standard USPS shipping. I guess I'll have a brand new GO450 up for sale very soon. Anyone's interested?
  12. Leave the pregap on, it will result in perfect tracks for gapless playback, just as they were intended to be on the CD when mastered. You might want to remove the pregap on ghost tracks, when the pregap is often very large with the sole purpose of "hiding" the track.
  13. Great marketing is truly great when your brand delivers the promise.
