  1. I am not as 80% of my files are FLAC. Any other suggestions?
  2. hi all. I actually started a new thread with my situation below but thought I post here as well since it is pretty relavant. I am using a Synology NAS and running both media server and Logitech server. uPnP player are Squeezebox and Transporter, which is compatible to both server. Synology media server also allows access remotely, via web and android apps. I have just got a Bel Canto REFLink and I must say that the sound quality is really good. Better than the transporter. I replace the transporter with my macbook air --> digital out via REFLink (RCA). The digital signal is then feed into an Accuphase DP85 ---> Accuphase 2800 Pre-amp ---> Stax 007tii Amps (Full volume, by-passing the volume control as that is done with the 2800) ----> Stax SR-009. Sound quality is a definitely improvement! Anyway, as this setup (compared to my previous), means that I will have to have my laptop attached to the REFLink via USB and thus, not as convenient as before. I was able to us a uPnP control to control my squeezebox and transporter before. Hence, I wonder if it is possible to turn my laptop into a uPnP player and control the selection of music tracks via a uPnP control point apps on Android (or IOS) devices.
