  1. I have A+ installed on a Mac Pro and installed it on a Macbook Pro to directly connect to my dac. Now it says I have too many installs and to remove one. I have deleted it from the Macbook Pro but when I attempt running it on the Mac Pro it still says too many installs. I don't have it installed now on anything else. How to fix this? Thank you
  2. Hopefully they come up with a fix. I have listened all afternoon connected directly with a MacBook Pro without issue. It definitely works perfectly with mConnect. thanks for your response
  3. @damien78I have a Manhattan Dac with the network card. Both the Dac and card fW are up to date and I don't have any issues with mConnect or Roon. I am not sure what to say as this has not been an issue with this unit in the past. I will check with Mytek
  4. @damien78When I select any music whether downloaded, Qobuz or Tidal, it will only play one track and stops. Also, the pause and stop buttons on the Mac Pro are greyed out. I have to use the iPad remote to pause or stop. Thanks for any input
  5. In my system, there is no comparison. I listened to the USB input immediately after receiving it and was really impressed right out of the box but the network card is just superior in every way. I couldn't be happier. Enjoy your new toy
  6. I have the Manhattan Dac 2 with the network card and use it exclusively now. I have a SonicTransporter i7 as a Roon server and I am thrilled with this combo. The network card is phenomenal in my setup and I prefer it over a Sonore ultraRendu via USB. I cannot recommend it highly enough for those who are considering an all in one setup. I had the Liberty and was very impressed with it but wanted the streaming option that the Manhattan 2 offered. The analog preamp is excellent too if that is of interest.
  7. I have had 2 Pace modems and hated them. The wifi was terrible. After spending some time on the forums, I got a Motorola BGW210 and find it superior to the Pace in every way. The smart connect seems to work great. You can use your own router (Netgear provides a tutorial) but it is a bit different than dealing with Spectrum modems. I had ethernet run in wall so I just use the gateway wifi for phones, tablets, etc. The tutorial I saw was pretty straightforward but i haven't tried it. Fiber has been another world for us over Spectrum broadband. I would not go back
  8. We have had AT&T fiber for nearly 2 years and there is just no comparison to anything else we have had. It is outstanding. You will love it
  9. The Liberty sounds really really good. I am very impressed especially given it's price tag. I had to call Mytek right after receiving it because I couldn't get it to pass native DSD so they worked with Andrew at SGC and Sonore to figure out the issue. There have been several firmware updates since receiving it which allows you to make the necessary changes through the Mytek control app on a Mac or Windows (Mac in my case). For those considering it, I have seen no negatives with it. It is just a pure dac and perfect for those who don't want the bells/whistles
  10. I have had both. While the S2 does sound good, the build quality is horrible. I have had 3. The usb just stops working. The first unit was playing and suddenly I had no music. I had not touched it since it was connected to a preamp. I moved it to make sure the cable was plugged in ok and the whole jack fell out. Audio Advisor replaced it and the second unit lasted about 6 weeks before the USB just stopped working. I sent it back and they replaced it under warranty. I decided then to get the Liberty. The build quality is just so much better. I saw a number of posts on the Roon forums of the S2 jack failing. I would encourage you to get the Liberty if the $500 is doable
  11. Definitely agree about the MQA. I don't get involved with all the arguments but just listen and the MQA selections I listen to are exceptional.
  12. I always use the mp filters with HQPe and am using the SRMP filter with this Dac. I will switch and see if I can discern any difference. I dont think this Dac can sounds bad with anything. I am seriously loving the network card. It sounds impeccable. I have it connected to the second either get port on a Sonic transporter i7 and Roon picked it up immediately. Very nice setup so far
  13. Yes. I use the network card primarily as I prefer it to the uR via USB. I am using the uR for native DSD playback
  14. Sonore Ultrarendu. I use the USB input the native DSD. Sounds really good too.
