  1. @ThunderMac This is my rpi4b (4gb) with BUster Desktop OS playing fip radio via M2Tech HiFace2 into a MyDac. If you find the audio output need resetting after a reboot:- Open a terminal type alsamixer Select the usb output press escape type sudo alsactl store sudo reboot. That might fix it 😉 ronnie
  2. which player are you using for output ? Right click on the Volime sign and select you output from there. Open chromium and search for fip radio or radio paradise and you should be able to playback. From your screen shot you do not appear to be connected to the internet atb ronnie
  3. OOOhhhh missus? I had to google xenialpup64 . I have no idea.? I use mostly Etcher; sometimes Win32 Disk Imager or USB Image tool. I think you should be able to do it with dd https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/linux.md
  4. OK. I think that for the pi1 you may be better off with LMS on piCorePlayer Check your pm ronnie
  5. These screenshots show the different pathways, to the same programme, from BBC iPlayer and BBC iPlayer Extra. LMS is on a raspberrypi 3B with the Raspbian Stretch Desktop OS. It's being used headless. I use this OS because I can also facilitate gparted and PiShrink in an easy manner, I just remove some coding and office software that I don't need and engage SSH and VPN. https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/ BBC iPlayer: BBC iPlayer Extra: hope this helps. ronnie
  6. BBC iPlayer live streaming and replay with BBC iPlayer Extras. I'm in Staffordshire, if you want to chat sometime, pm your phone number and I'll give you a call (say what times are convenient). Ronnie
  7. I see that you have posted on the diyaudio forum with no luck and that you also had a problem in August with the HLS stream and that in both cases there does not seem to be any interest in your problem. Which shows poor support from the dev imo . I don't have anything I can try it out on (the dev seems to discourage using a live usb stick) so I can't help anymore, sorry. I normally run LMS either on a raspberrypi, sometimes on an O2 Joggler or a mainstream OS. I have an old Shuttle and have used this https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspberry-pi-desktop/ on both a live USB stick (with persistence) and also installed on the hardware. It runs Debian Stretch under the pi Desktop and can be used in headless mode. LMS and Squeezelite install without problem (there is even a basic Squeezelite package if you don't want to faff about). I'm sorry I can help further.? ronnie
  8. What device are you running Daphile on? IMHO it's not so complete a server if you can't update it, which LMS version does it have? In the BBC iPlayer settings is this your output?
  9. No need to sign in. I'm surprised that Triode's Plugin is still working (you don't say which version you are using). I don't know Daphile and what control you have over the LMS but you need this version of the Plugin https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?109599-How-to-install-latest-BBC-iPlayer-presumably-v1-6-0&p=922760&viewfull=1#post922760 and, if you can, you want to be running on the latest v7.9.2 http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.9 ronnie
  10. Awhile ago I found this post over on the RP forum https://www.radioparadise.com/rp_2.php?#name=Forums&file=showtopic&topic_id=24853&x=3814434 It has been around for a bit but I thought it might be worthwhile adding to the 'knowledge bank'? It's primarily a "proof of concept" but is pretty robust. I have used it in in Firefox and Chrome browsers. It also works on the rpi 3B+ running the updated Chromium Browser (full fat Raspbian Stretch). Sometimes I have had a slight problem with no sound on starting the player. Clicking the pause button and then the play works most times, sometime a refresh of the browser window is necessary. Ronnie
  11. Well I'm shocked that there has been no mention of LogitechMediaServer and a raspberry pi. If only one stream is needed (BBC Radio 3) then the 'umble pi (see what I did there) with Raspbian Stretch Lite can use OMXPlayer with good result. But the BBC iPlayer plugin on LMS serves up, not only the currently playing wirelss programs but also allows playback from the previous seven days. (There is doubt as to how long the 30 day playback will be available). Oh, wait, there is more, don't forget that for 2017 and 2016 there was the opportunity to listen to the proms in HDflac ( no news yet about this year) And wait, there is even more, a modestly priced dac-hat can provide connection to either amplifier or a SPDIF input on a receiver type thingie, or dac. ronnie
  12. Stephen, re your post above. After you configure the wifi settings inn picoreplayer, you reboot the player with the Ethernet cable still attached. You should return to the wifi page and if successful there is the wireless IP and Mac. If you don't have these, then you run the scan to see if your SSID is listed. I have several rpi3B's and have never experienced a failure of the onboard wifi. That's not to say there are no faulty ones out there, but they are pretty rare. Try the Raspbian desktop setup if you can, that should confirm if it is working. If I get time tomorrow I'll knock up an piCorePlayer image for you (pm me your wireless details and I'll fill in the config file). Ronnie Edit: It might be worthwhile resetting your router when you have the time to spare. Also you don't say 3B or 3B+? And which OS on the iMac (I can do El Capitan)
  13. You called m'Lord? I have been watching the thread on SilmDevices. I think the first thing is to establish if the Wi-Fi on the pi actually works. So my suggestion is to connect up a monitor (or TV) keyboard and mouse, burn https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspbian_latest onto an 8gb min card with Etcher. Put the card into the pi, add a soupçon of Ethernet and when the desktop loads configure the Wi-Fi. Shutdown and pull the Ethernet and plug in again. That should prove it the pi are good to go. It is actually possible to configure the Wi-Fi bit with a preloaded config file for picoreplayer, but first things first. Edit: Just another belt and braces thought, make sure the pi and mac are on the same 2.4 gHz network and you want only b and g in the wireless settings. The new pi 3B+ does do dual networks. ronnie hope you are enjoying the warmth John
