  1. I'm surprised. It's exactly my setting (DoP enabled), but ASDM7EC works nicely here.
  2. Silly question: is DoP enabled in the Preferences pane?
  3. Is Adaptive Output Rate enabled? In that case HQP will convert among the same family rate only
  4. I agree. Ext2 + 7EC and DSD Direct on Rme sounds great here too
  5. My previous pc i7-10700 had a bad lan connection, due to the chipset early version. I did a lot of packet loss tests. The Mini M1 lan port works perfect instead.
  6. It's the "smallest" one, 8 Gb
  7. I wanna share my experience with my new Mac Mini M1. Everything works flawless at DSD256x48, ASDM7EC, ext2 and convolution (DRC filters). Dac is a Rme Adi-2. Got some dropouts using xtr and Sinc-L, but ext2 sounds perfect to me. My previous pc was a i7-10700, able to run xtr (not Sinc-L), but now SQ is much better, because of a better lan connection to Naa. Mini M1 is a great little beast.
  8. Jussi, can I ask wich Gigabyte motherboard are you using?
  9. I tried cat6/7/8 cables, UTP and STP. No audiophile gadgets in my setup. Source is local file mostly, and Tidal, by Roon. If I use HQP library I notice dropouts too. I suppose there's a packet loss in my network, due to a z490 chipset and Intel 225-v lan port malfunction. I made a ping test from my iMac (0 packet loss) and from my HQP server (0.7% packet loss) to Naa. I'm waiting for a Thunderbolt-Ethernet adapter. Can you suggest some further test?
  10. I have 4 different Naa: 1) Allo Usbridge. I tried Dietpi, Gentooplayer and now I'm using Ropieee. 2) Beaglebone Black. I tried your image and PureDSD. 3) Mac Mini with Networkaudiod 4) Rpi 3... Server is running MacOS Catalina, Windows 10, Ubuntu Studio and Embedded via usb, no one is flawless. Motherboard is Gigabyte Z490 Vision D, two lan ports (Intel I219-v and 215). As I wrote, it doesn't matter direct connection server-naa or local lan. I still got dropouts. Is there any setting to check?
  11. As I wrote in my post yesterday, I notice dropouts using my Mac Mini as Naa too.
  12. Hi, I built a new pc for HQP recently. Cpu is an Intel i7-10700K (OC 5 ghz), 32 Gb ram, no GPU, macOS Catalina (Hackintosh) and Windows 10 Workstation on two different NVMe disks. I can use HQP 4.8.1 with both systems as I prefer. Mobo is a Gigabyte Z490 Vision D with two lan ports: Intel 219 and Intel 225-V My dac is a Rme Adi-2. I also use Roon for the library only, but running on a different iMac. That computer should be able to play DSD256, ASDM7EC, xtr or ext2 and convolution, I suppose. It does flawlessy, indeed, but via usb only. If I use one of my Naa (Allo Usbridge Sig, Beaglebone Black, Raspberry Pi3 and 2014 i5 Mac Mini) I notice many random dropouts. Catalina or Windows, it doesn't matter. I tried direct connection server-naa via Ipv6, but it doesn't solve my issue. Dropouts occur with both lan ports. Using ASDM7 (no EC), the same. It can works well for 1 hour, then dropouts for 10 seconds or 10 minutes. Also using DSD128, sometimes it happens. I tried all the settings (buffer, filters, shapers...), but no success. There are no other programs running. That pc is for HQP only, so far. I use two unmanaged switches (Cisco SG100-D and Netgear GS108), both 802.3x compliant, and Asus RT-AC87U router. I'm not a network expert, but it sounds like an overflow issue. Anyway, something due to the lan ports. Any hint? Thanks in advance
  13. I'm also using 4.7.1 on macOS Catalina but I noticed some clicks and pops (same setup and Naa).
