  1. I have downloaded the downloader but it doesnt accept my HDtracks login. Anyone can help?
  2. Hi all, this seems an interesting product. Anyone has experience with it, in particular with a macmini. Tranquility Base: Overview | Synergistic Research Regards
  3. gThanks for your help. I am not considering selling my Ref 5, amoung other things because I need its processor function to connect my surround processor, so volume control is not very important at this stage. So from this discussion I am narrowing to a discussion between the DAC2X and the Wavelength Crimson. The reason I was thinking about the Crimson is because I like the Wave length Brick a lot and because since I only need the DAC for USB playing from my mac mini, I thought that a dedicated USB DAC like the Crimson would be better value for money (since it has one single USB entry and much less flexibility than the DAC2Xm which I dont need to pay for). At this stage DSD is not important to me, so my real concern is the quality of sound through USB.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I tried the Dac 8 and it was a very small benefit vs my current Wavelength Brick but not enough to upgrade. I tried also the Dac 8 vs my CD, a AR CD3 MKII and it was quite similar. Now when I compared the DAC 8 vs the Reference CD8, the CD8 is much better. So I am looking for some DAC that would bring me a noticable improvement (like I hear with the CD8).
  5. Hello, I am considering upgrading from my Wavelegth Brick, which I use with a mac mini connected to an AR Reference 5 and an AR VS115. I am considering the following options for a new DAC: Wavelength Crimson (Denominator Silver), EMM LAbs DAC2X and AR Reference DAC. From a sound perspective which option should sound better? Any other option I should consider? Thanks
