  1. 🤘🤘🤘 I'm so glad to see this thing finally hitting the streets. It was a long time coming! Even though I'm no longer officially official with Aurender, I still feel tremendous pride and admiration for their fine products, not least of which this AP20. Thanks for the great review!
  2. @GJo no, sir. No relation, as far as I know.
  3. Thank you very much @GJo. But, you need not be concerned! Actually, Mr. Kelly Scheidt has been heading up support for Aurender America for the better part of the last 2 years while I was more focused on sales and business development. The future of Aurender is bright. 🙂
  4. @DancingSea @Koso thank you for the kind words! It has been an absolute pleasure working with you all via Aurender these past 6 years. I left on good terms with no drama or bad blood whatsoever. I look forward to continuing to be a part of the Aurender community. I’m taking a beat to figure out my next career move, and in the meantime, I’ll be rebooting my old CD/SACD ripping service, Golden Ear Digital (new website coming soon). I can take care of ripping large CD collections and extracting high res files from your SACDs/bluray/dvd audio discs (stereo and/or multichannel). When I’m ready to really re-launch that service I’ll make a separate thread here to keep the AS community up to date. Cheers!
  5. @golfughits a bug in the current app version. Send a remote support email ticket and I can help you in advance of the software update if you’d like! That goes for anyone else experiencing this issue too, of course.
  6. PS Audio DirectStream DAC. Updated to Torreys OS. Bridge II installed. This is a wonderful DAC but I'm selling it to fund a new amp instead. List price, $6899. I am selling for $5250, plus shipping. I am the original and sole owner of this basically brand new piece. It still has the plastic shrink wrap lining on top. Comes with all original boxes (heavy duty double box) and packaging for safe shipping. It has probably seen 100 hours of playing time. I have taken meticulous care of it while it has been in my system, and I'll be sad to see it go. The Bridge II works great with Roon. Please let me know if any questions, and thanks for looking!
  7. Selling my trusty Mac Mini and Sonore ex/D combo after lots of hours of enjoyment. Both units work perfectly. The ex/D DAC is really a special piece. Rave reviews abound on this forum and others. See below for Mac Mini tech specs. It is still on OS 10.9.5, ideal for audio/integer mode. Comes with fully licensed version of Audirvanna pre-installed. Both items come with all original boxes and materials, and are in truly excellent cosmetic and working condition. These have been very well taken care of. Selling as a pair only, not separately. Thanks!
  8. Yeah the album is mastered super hot! Maybe not an "audiophile" record but just some good old school funky music. Tried the download a couple times and the last track, "Back In Time" seems to be corrupted or truncated or something (the whole file is only 402 kb). If anybody downloaded the whole album successfully and feels like sharing, I'd love to have that last track! Thanks.
  9. Just want to confirm in case others are having similar problems extracting certain discs: Using ripper version .30 and choosing to rip directly to 2 channel dsf solves the problem I was having where I could not extract the files from the ISO. I suspect it has to do with the length of the file name. When the extractor tries to create a folder and files for the new .dsf files, the names are too long and windows won't let it create the files. As has been said here before, in some cases extracting the files closer to the root of the drive may help, but some titles are just too damn long no matter where you try to extract them. Is there any way to manually truncate the titles before extraction starts? Changing the file name of the ISO doesn't seem to have anything to do with it.
  10. Hello

are you still selling the DAC? I'd be interested.

    Thanks

    Tammo

  11. Hey Kevin, yes, I also had issues extracting the Fischer - Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto, and Albrecht - Korngold: Symphony in F#. They both ripped just fine, but the only way I could extract them was "Extract single DFF file". In all other cases the extractor just crashes right away. At least you can get the whole album in one long track this way. I don't know of any media editors that will allow you to split up a .dff or .dsf file but there's got to be something out there? There may be something weird with the way Pentatone splits tracks??? One thing that may work: in ripper version .30 you can scroll through ripping options by pressing "O" and there's an option to rip/extract straight to .dff or .dsf. Since the problem I had with those discs was in the extraction phase, perhaps if you get the files in .dsf from the ripper you may have better results? Also, with Pentatone's Fischer/Muller-Schott/Gilad - Mendelssohn: Piano Trio's No. 1 & 2, it wouldn't even rip. Recognized disc, hit ok, and it immediately says it has completed. I let it sit for 30 min, because sometimes it actually will rip in the background, but in this case no ISO is created. I've only ever had these issues with Pentatone.
  12. Perfect! I didn't have that one in my arsenal, must have been part of a more recent update. Anyway, thanks so much! ted_b 4 prez. PS - that Gergiev/Rimsky-Korsakov disc that was giving me a hard time earlier played nice with this new DSF extraction. Weird huh?
  13. Whoops, that was a typo...meant "is there any way to extract [multichannel] in .dsf from the start" My goal is just to obtain multichannel DSF. The item you just sent above seems to be for stereo only unless I'm missing something?
