  1. Hello Recently (I would say since I moved to El-Capitan) I have some drop out. The message is quite clear in the console 2/13/16 02:02:08.824 Audirvana Plus[6894]: Strong issue, need to restart playback 2/13/16 02:02:08.824 Audirvana Plus[6894]: Restarted: 0 Audirvana restarts by itself, hence a 0.5 s drop-out. I have searched on the web and I think other people had that issue. Apparently, the Mac needs some memory and if too much memory is allocated to Audirvana, it will force Audirvana to restart to release some memory. My Mac mini is 8 Giga memory and I have allocated roughly half of it to Audirvana. According to the User Manual, 2.5 GB should be enough for the OS to run without trouble. In my case I have left almost 4GB and I have still drop-out. Except Safari, nothing else was running on the Mac when it happened. Now I am wondering what is the best setting in my case. Thanks and Regards philouu
  2. Hello Does anybody the reason of three USB Port ? The explanation of the maker website does not explain anything ... " The board for sMS-100 is ready made product including the 3 outputs. The output for sMS-100 is only for USB Audio device, and doesn’t support the storage device as like HDD, you should connect 1 x USB audio device to operate sMS-100 properly. " Thanks
  3. I do not have any clicks during music playing at all. It is only mechanical click inside the Dac at the beginning end and change of frequency. This happens both in use 1 and 2. Unfortunately I cannot get any answer from the maker. Their communication is terrible. I will probably return my product and may be get a Hiface Dac if I cannot get any clear answer. Thanks philouu
  4. After a few posts and exchanges on a French audiophile forum it happens to be that the "new" click I was mentioning is a mechanical one that is located on the Mydac itself and it has no effect on the amp or the speakers or music at all. It is just the annoyance of a double mechanical click at the start, end and frequency change. It looks like some other people have the same especially the people who bought it very recently (mine got exchanged 2 weeks ago). I am trying to get a answer from the vendor but nothing so far.
  5. Hello I did some more listening and now each time the MyDac change frequency, for example from 96 to 192 depending on the files (whether it is automated though Audirvana or manually through Audio Midi Setup) it will make a kind of double click. If I do not change frequency I will not have any clicks like that during the listening. When the player changes back frequency or stops I will hear again this double click. Are you having the same double click ? This is less a problem than what I had with my previous Mydac but I find it a little bit strange. Thanks philouu
  6. I received a new model and the problem seems to have disappeared. Basically the first MyDac I had was from the very first batch and it was making a whistling noise just by being plugged on the AC. This problem was known and then Micromega recalled all the models (that is what I read). Apparently mine was not recalled at that time. Whether this has a relation with the issues regarding the 192/24 I am not sure but anyway it seems to work fine now. Thanks
  7. Yes the mydac is definitely offering the 192/24 (it is green up to DSD listings) but 1 time out of 5 it the sound is not good, hearing some click (cracking noise). The only solution I found was to use USB1 instead of USB2. I will get a new Mydac tomorrow so I will investigate some more. Thanks
  8. USB1.0 caps the signal at 96Hz so I cannot hear any problems. It only happens with USB2.0 and 192/24 files. I will try to test on another Mydac. Are you listening to 192/24 file via USB2.0 and your output is also 192/24 via Audirvana ? Thanks philouu
  9. Thanks for your answer. are you using yourself a mac ? With Audirvana directly in usb 2.0 and you get 24/192 without any problems ? It is working 3 or 4 times out of 5 that is why I question the stability of the usb2.0 with mac thanks
  10. I use integer Mode and use all the default Audirvana setting. The Mydac is connected directly to the MacBook Pro, I use the latest OS. I found a few people having "click issues" on various forums but I could not find any explanation. Is the Mydac really a full 192/24 for Mac ? It looks very instable since sometimes it is fine and sometimes not. Thanks philouu
  11. Hello I have been doing some tests with a MyDac recently that I borrowed from a friend. I have a MacBook Pro and run Audirvana/ITunes with USB2 switch; I hear some clicks (clicking noise) from time to time and it is very annoying forcing me to stop the music. It happens with 192/24 songs (I have not tested other files in details) but it does not happen all the time and I cannot reproduce the problem; it just happen sometimes and disappear the next time. I tried to downsample the file with Audirvana but the problem is the still the same. The clicks are not between songs as I could read some posts but during the songs. If I use the USB1 I do not hear the clicks; this time the forced dowsample to 96 is fine. It looks like I have an issue with USB2 and 192/24. On Micromega website I cannot find any explanations although they acknowledged some issues and advice to use USB1 for some unknown reasons. I have isolated all the components of my system and I am convinced that this is an issue with the USB2 switch. Optical is fine although I could not test it until 192 as the Mac limits it at 96.
  12. Hello Is there anybody having done digital room correction and using AU Plugins for the room correction within A+ ? Thanks philouu
  13. Hello Some of you were mentioning ACR System 2, FuzzMeasure or FabFilter... to optimise sound in the digital domain (digital room correction) using the new AU feature. Could you give more details about how you have integrated it with A+ ? Are you satisfied ? It would add more concrete facts to the "philosophical discussion"... thanks a lot in advance philouu
  14. Hello I have a very general question about AU Plugins. I never used any of them and I wanted to hear about other people experiences using them with Audirvana. - what is the main use of AU Plugins ? Room optimisation ? Sound correction (that is supposed to be done by A+ directly) ? - which one would you advice ? There are hundreds at least and it is very difficult to have a clear idea. - do you need extra tools like microphones to analyse the environment and make a real improvement in the sound ? Please let me know about your own experience with Audirvana. Thanks philouu

    Audirvana 1.4

I have tried my best to use Devialet Air but I could not figure out how to deal with the totally random behaviour of the wireless "Air" mode... Like many other Devialet users I personally know, it was safer to return to a cable solution and Audirvana is doing a very good job for that ! I do not miss using Devialet Air at all !
