  1. Thanks for all comments. I have read that it is necessary to have in oppo the firmware the 8580 and not the 8550,which I have in my oppo 103. If this is confirmed that would be reason for not opening the tray of the oppo when inserting the usb. If anybody have done the ripping with the 8550 please let me know. i am going to resell the oppo 103 i did bought for ripping and try to find another one with the 8580, but looking for it in ebay I have not yet found any with that firmware
  2. Thanks Mikey. I see in the network from the Oppo my mac, but when trying to acces to music files from it, a password and user name is required. I have tried using the name and password utilized for opening the mac, and as well the name and password I have for Appel, and none of the two are accepted. as well when opening the ISO2DSD and introducing the Oppo IP I can not get access. But perhaps the problem is that the Chip I have in Oppo is 8550 and not 8580....
  3. thanks for your comment. I was thinking if the stick for Wire less may interfere with the riiping , since it is said that all usb shall be out fro ripping.
  4. Thanks for useful help in this topic. I have a question, is ti pssible to rip the sacd with Oppo 103 that have chip 8550? What could be the reason for not getting the oppo recognize if I correctly introduce the IP of the oppo in the ISO2 DSD window? I do not know if the problem I have is due to the chip or to the no identification of the oppo in the Iso2dsd Any help? Javier
  5. I got a OPPO103 And trying to go with my first ripping, I have some doubts. Since the ripping will be saved in the Mac how is established the connection between the OPOO and the MAC? Could be done with WIFI which requires an usb in the opposite , or since it is said any USB shall be out of the Oppos, I must make the connection via LAN?.

  9. Are new USB DAC with DSD capability able to reproduce an SACD from a SACD transport or a SACD player?. Seems that manufacturer only allow to reproduce the SACD with an external DAC of its own brand. Who knows something about this? I have Weiss DAC with DSD and would like to use it with a SACD. Thanks for any comment javier
  10. I am new on this matter, any feedback would be useful for me. I have a SACD player Marantz 9600. it has a digital output but it does not work with DMS signal. As well have a Ilink (firewire400) output, and seems with a DMS signal, (not very clear in the manual), but it says that it shall be connected to a Marantz equipment. I have not yet try to see if it works with my DAC Minerva which have DSD capability. But anyway any SACD transport must work with an external DAC, it means the signal send to the DAC is a DSD, or is it a different signal?. An if the signal send by the SACD transport is a DSD, is it not possible to use it to record it in a hard disc?. May be I am saying silly things. Thanks for any feedback.
  11. I am new on this, my interest is been able to use my Weiss Minerva DAC upgraded to receive DSD, with my SACD´s. As well as getting my SACD collection in my HD and reproducing everything with Mac Mini. Is there anyway of ripping SACD without buying the PS3 SACD?. If a SACD player have a Ilink 1394a(fire wire400) output with DSD signal, can I plug it in my Minerva DAC? the manufacturer of SACD player(marantz9600) says it shall be connected at a processor of his brand. Thanks if anybody could help.
