First, thank you Ted for all your hard work on the great guide.
But, a question: When I try to install the 3.55 OtherOS++ from your package over 3.15 on my CECHA01, I get a warning when the box reboots that installing the (unnamed) update means I will never be able to install OtherOS (!). I used the System Update option rather than the Install OtherOS option (which I did try after seeing this warning, but it didn't see what it wanted on the USB drive).
I imagine that this is a false alarm and a function of the current FW's relatively great age, but I don't want to assume. BTW, I disabled the internet connection, so I don't see how this could be an automatic update trying to override the one I'm attempting.
Is it safe to ignore this warning?
