  1. Thanks for both of your Shunyata votes, the Gemini-4 and Venom PS10. A dealer was also recommending Hydra Delta D6.
  2. Hello. I am looking for some "reasonably" priced suggestions for a power conditioner to replace my Monster branded 8 plug unit. I am looking for basic protection and conditioning, I am not really wanting to spend the uber high prices for some of the top models. Maybe something in the range of an 6-8 outlet Furman unit. I mainly want to hook my sources and possibly my preamp to this unit. My amps are on their own conditioner.
  3. cjf, I looked at your setup, very nice. I will do a little research on some of the components you used, thanks.
  4. I would like to say that I am happy with my uRendu and i7 Sonic Transporter after all these years I've been using them. They have been reliable and have many of the features I need and use. They have been some of the more stable components in my system as I do upgrades and changes. I recommend them for sure.
  5. Hi davide256. Thanks for all the advise. I did some searching and reading about shelf materials, I think I'm pretty good but what I do want to see if I can figure out a better way to more easily level my shelf with fine resolution, and for another reason as well. On a happy note, I got back my OA GaN mono blocks that I lent to a friend for him to try. He will likely build or buy the stereo version one day.
  6. I recently got around to finally doing a hardwood shelf with Sorbothane feet for my turn table shelf. I do like my results and it sounds much better than when the turn table was sitting directly on the glass shelf. Now, this combination sits on top of glass shelf, my rack pretty much forces me to do this. Is there a ranking of what types of material is considered bad, good, best for the shelf? Is there material data or history of application that would back these rankings? Lastly, if glass is not a good material, I wonder if its ok to use as a sub shelf. I've liked my results so far but I'm open to improvements.
  7. Thanks everyone. I did put the level on my head shell, that doesn't work well with uni-pivot arms. I have used my level in several spots on the platter. With that info, I just did the best I could on averaging out the level, since each spot was slightly different. I may look at an app on my phone, I've heard of those, hadn't considered that until it was suggested. I think I'm pretty close now.
  8. You are ahead of me Dave, I will post a question in a day or so about my current rack/shelf setup. Oh, my Tone Arm is a uni-pivot, it may be a bit more needy. Thanks.
  9. Strange to post this here but, I'm sure people have Turntables as well. What kind of bubble levels people use and what are some names of them can anyone suggest?
  10. Is this the latest version of sacdextractgui? (SACDExtractGUI v0.1-7-g135*) I have not found any later versions.
  11. There is even now a xxx -75 version for all three builds.
  12. Hi, maybe someone here can help. I am using the latest versions of SACDExtractGUI and sacd_extract and cannot get the ISO+DSF rip option to work. The ISO extraction or DSF extraction works fine as a separate run. I have tried all three OS's I have. Here is an example of what the GUI outputs: [SUCCESS] Port 2002 of 192.168.1.22 is accessible. [RUNNING][/home/obx/Music/SACD/sacd_extract/sacd_extract, -i, 192.168.1.22:2002, -w, -I, -s, -2, -m, -C, -P, -o, /home/obx/Music, -y, /home/obx/Music/DSFs].
  13. I would like to thank EugenF for the Apple version of the client app. I was looking in to compiling it myself. I still might, just for learning purposes. It is working like the other versions. One thing though and this is happening to all versions of the programs. I am trying to rip using ISO+DSF or ISO+DFF and the app fails. I will document this and make a post later today.
  14. Reading the documentation for sacdextract_gui and other postings. I believe by using nopad option, it makes a non-compliant file. Is there any downside to using nopad and pauses? I have a chance to rerip my collection and I want to future proof but I don't want any downsides either.
  15. I figured I did not have to rerip my ISOs, good to get confirmation. I am not having issues with DSF. Reading the documentation for all this and other postings. I believe by using nopad option, it makes a non-compliant file. Is there any downside to using nopad and pauses? I have a chance to rerip my collection and I want to future proof but I don't want any downsides either.
