  1. I've just bought a DAC2 HGC and I'm trying to get it to play DSD through Foobar anybody know what the settings should be?So far very impressed on FLAC files more bass detail than with my Mytek (no criticism of Mytek though excellent machine) The Benchmark remote is a bit rough though made of aluminium alright but the buttons have no feel to them, you only know if its worked by watching the red light on the DAC. Can't help feeling a soft plastic wand style with tactile buttons would be cheaper and better
  2. Hi Speed65 I use Foobar 1.1.17 on USB2 for DSD. I tried 1.1.18 and it stopped it dead on win7 and 8, went back to 1.1.17 and all OK again. hope this helps.
  3. Hi, I’m not sure if Robbbby and I have exactly the sameproblem, but it sounds similar, so this is a question for Michal/Adam. My much loved Mytek 192 is connected directly (no pre-amp) to my power amps through XLR. If I switch the Mytek on or off with the poweramps switched on it sounds like a minor explosion has occurred in the speakers. The obvious rule is to switch the power amps on last and off first. But one doesnot always remember, they take about 30 to 45 seconds to power down. Adam suggested that the solution to this is to fit relays inthe analogue line out, and the cost would be around a $100. Can these be retrofitted? I would rather pay $100 than wreck £7000 speakers. I think mostdomestic HiFi uses this solution. The problem has been exacerbated since I bought some new monobloc’s(Audiolab 8200MB). In the old days theywere simply switched manually, now they have to be switched on with a 12vtrigger, so my next question is, is there a place in the circuitry of the Mytekwhere + 12v could be taken safely, even on a flying 3.5mm jack lead? I know theback panel is rather congested. Whilst I have your eye could I make a plea for futurerevisions, would it be possible to have an alpha/numeric display? Preferably larger, And is it possible to arrange for twoApple controllers to be used, this is a personal plea I know won’t affect mostusers, but my living room is some 30mtrs long and it’s much more convenient tohave one at each end, I can’t be unique, and I guess you already have thesoftware worked out. I use my DAC mostly with DSD through Foobar/W7 and its rocksolid, it switches seamlessly between PCM and DSD, I love it, it’s the bestblack box I’ve had in years, so please don’t think I’m complaining, more likecustomer feedback. Thank you for any insight you can give.
