  1. Does the version of Dirac in this puppy work with streams at up to 192khz/24?
  2. Awesome! Thank you Flavio! I feel more confident about it now! Thanks again!
  3. Thanks for the reply! I supposed so but thought maybe it could work. I would need then a mch DAC for it to work best or even use my AV receiver then through hdmi. But I wouldn't be able to integrate my DAC as planned. My Pulse Infinity, like many DACs is strictly a 2 ch DAC. The XSP-1 is an analog preamp. No DSP or DAC inside. It does have an analog crossover circuit and can output to subs in stereo mode and there is a mono output as well.
  4. Hello All! Just found this topic... I wonder if the same can happen using the analog crossover feature on the Emotiva XSP-1. Plan is I get my LH Labs Pulse Infinity DAC. Go from there to XSP-1 and do analog crossover to subs at 80hz or whatever to two subs using the summed subwoofer output so both subs play the same frequencies helping me with room modes and bass evenness in the room. XSP-1 gen2 is just $799 now My worry is delay time between speakers and subs.. Could DIRAC 2ch correct for that? It will see the whole thing as just two speakers... what do you think?
  5. +1 Although I have no reason to believe there was some fudging of the measurements done by LH
  6. Not to dis the product in anyway.... But why are the Left/Right outputs still reversed? I remember reading a review where exaSound said they were gonna fix that in their next iteration... They've now gone through two.... Again, this does not have anything to do with sound quality, I know it must sound incredible and a good value against other more expensive DACs The output trigger is a good idea. I don't think it was included in the past model...
  7. The 105D is not really next generation as the name implies. It did gave them an oppotunity to add DSD support to the USB DAC port. Besides this and te Darbee processing, all else is the same. I believe a 205 might include network DSD streaming and support for higher res PCM as well as multichannel PCM/DSD support through USB too (LH Labs will start developing a MCH DAC this year)..... By then it will be the standard and Oppo will be catching up with them, albeit at their good value price.
  8. Yes!!..I look at all the upgrades I have bought and when I see the total it was way more than what I thought I would spend. But keep in mind that the Pulse with the dual mono upgrade, the femto clock , the analog parts upgrade will be valued at around $1200 ALONE without the Linear Power Supply. And as I recall the Femto clock and analog parts upgrade are custom perks for IGG campaign backers. Once the campaign ends, they will not be available. That is unless they hit the $1Million, then at least the analog circuit upgrade will be FREE
  9. If you don't care for DSD, one of the better values is the Emotiva Stealth DC-1 DAC. Review here from audioholics: Emotiva Stealth DC-1 DAC/Preamp Review | Audioholics If you would like to have DSD and higher rate PCM, the best deal right now is the indiegogo campaign for the Light Harmonic Geek Pulse plus the Geek PulseX upgrade for XLR outputs. The Pulse X will also have balanced and unbalanced headphone out. There are optional additional upgrades one can choose like linear power supply, and a femto clock. but the price will go up as you get the upgrades. Could get closer to $800 when all is said and done and the DAC with all upgrades will retail closer to $1,300.00. You would have to wait until May or June for delivery though, as it is a crowdfunding campaign and it still have 10 days to go. Both the Emotiva and the PulseX are dual mono differential designs with Pre-Amp functionality.
  10. Hey Miska, The DAC size is rather small. But it will be packed with great features. The better clock option will only be for campaign backers. It will not be a model in the Geek Pulse Line. But now Larry said he was also gonna checkout the Amanero USB board and test it. Hopefully he likes it and ends up being implemented.... I would love to delve into DSD DSP with your software!
  11. While I support and like the prospect of the adapters....I wanted them to include them and not have us buy them...
