  1. Once the analog jack and ubiquitous white buds is deleted from all new Apple portables they will release the AppleTooth headset (which will not be included) Just a guess.
  2. I've read all the posts in this thread to better understand the mechanisms at play when jitter deteriorates a signal. I am not an engineer, just an enthusiast who likes to understand nature, and I'm not sure I know anymore than I did before. Dave Hill of Crane Song LTD. has some discussion of jitter with test tracks at cranesong.com Please go to the site and click 'jitter page' Is this relevant to the discussion here? Best,
  3. How about sending one to Computer Audiophile and let Chris take it for a spin? Until you take a step like that, there is probably little to be gained here. Seems pretty obvious to me but hey I didn't go to college.
  4. HNY everyone! Jud the pic in the OP, just awesome
  5. I had it happen a couple times Thursday afternoon on my iPad. I shut down/restarted then and have not seen it since. -Andy

    HQ Player

I am eager to give HQP a spin; Any idea if it will play nice with Apogee Rosetta 200 or Lynx L22? Also is there an iOS based remote available? (like JRemote) Thanks. Andy
  8. For an excellent explanation of the terms we use and misuse to describe sound, I recommend the book 'This is Your Brain on Music' by Daniel Levitin, also available as book on tape ;-)
  9. Ah, 'LED' TV refers to the method of backlighting, not the method of reproducing the RGB image, which is LCD.
  10. Decide what gear you like, the way it makes your music sound and try to buy it used. Listen to other gear, if you like it, try to buy it used. And on and on. Buy the gear you like used. It can take time. If you never make a list and search for it guaranteed you will never use it
  11. The idea of spending money on consumer gear at a high end store [at retail!] for a whole ground up system makes my stomach turn. Maybe for some new tasty source gear but the whole chain..I understand the bug. I was that consumer before I got jaded wise and cheap and let my ears do the decision making. I don't dismiss the notion. Happy listening. Best,
  12. Any pc tech in the Los Angeles area that can do these optimizations on a win7 desktop for pizza or pay or pizza and pay please pm me.
