Aloha Everyone! I am facing trouble using HQPD android app while using Qobuz. I can't navigate an album, it transfers only one track, so I can't skip to next or previous track. Do you know any fix?

Aloha Everyone! I am fairly new with HQP using it with a CAPS Xeon based server and capable of upsample up to DSD512, but with EC modulator upto 256 DSD. But with Hermes+Pontus-II DAC, I love PCM sound instead of DSD. Anyway, I am facing trouble using HQP android app. I can't navigate an album, it transfers only one track, so I can't skip to next or previous track. Do you know any fix? @Miska

Hi, Bit rate 16-18 is safe for Pontus-2 but I've connected Hermes(DDC) before the Pontus so HQ Player is seeing Hermes not Pontus. In this case what should be the ideal bit rate in the HQ Player? Please share your insights.

Hi I'm not sure if you already figured it out. However, I faced the same problem after getting the Hermes. Hermes is the culprit here. It could take up to 768KHz on USB Input but maximum 384KHz on I²S Output. Please check it here: https://www.denafrips.com/specs-hermes

It's a great features for sure. But HQPD control lost its functionality, now I could get only a track in the que. Can't browse Qobuz files. Hope we will get a new version soon to control the HQPlayer effectively while streaming Qobuz music.

I read in the HQ thread that if I use external active pre-amp it needs maximum volume, and I am not hearing any clipping/distortion. Anyway, I'll use -3db. Thanks once again. BTW, have you tried any DDC with your Terminator Plus DAC?

Aloha! Thanks for your response. I can't play with the ASDM7EC due to dropouts and it's due to 3.50Ghz processor. But it plays fine with ASDM7, actually it can't play any "EC" shaper. Now I'm playing with "source" mode with ease. But I will try again playing PCM files in DSD format without the DDC(Gustard). But I am curious why you are not using any DDC! I have already ordered Hermes DDC from Denafrip but unfortunately it is limited up to DSD512 on USB Input & I²S Output and for PCM up to 768KHz on USB Input & Up to 384KHz on I²S Output.

I build a CAPS server long ago and used Foobar2K for playing everything in the native sample rate. From yesterday I am trying with HQPlayer but till now, I failed to get a better sound in DSD format(256) from 44.1K. Any conversion from PCM to DSD sounds inferior(soundstage narrowed down, muddy bass). But it sounds OK with a PCM higher rate(768k) but not better than Foobar2000 player in native sample rate. Now playing in: Mode: source, Filter: poly-sinc-guass-long, Shaper: Guass1 Format: 44.1k/16/2 - 768k/32/2 - it's no better than Foobar2K Source: CAPS server with Xeon processor+ PPA OCXO USB card+ HD Plex LPS > ISO Regen> Gustard DDC U16 > HDMI > Denafrip Pontus II DAC Amp: Hegel P30 + H30 Speaker: Dynaudio Sapphire Have you compared HQPlayer (upsampled in DSD) to Foobar2K in the native sample rate? Could you please tell me what I am missing here?

Oh! Then have to live with the old method. Hope someday you will find a way. Is it possible for you to make a short command like "AO"/ "ST" for shut down and restarting the PC .... give it a thought, please. Anyway thanks for the response.

Even this method for activating WiFi in Windows-2016 Core is not working: http://www.technig.com/enable-wireless-windows-server/ The author tried it on GUI but assumed it will work on core mode.

WiFi connection Problem Hi All My server (Win 2016 Core +AO2.2B5) connected to WiFi router through LAN port and I control it through Remote Desk Top connection. Now I have removed the LAN cable and connected a TPLink USB WiFi adapter for connecting the server remotely. I have installed the TPLink USB adapter driver and its is working fine and also activated Wireless LAN support through service tool. Now I need to enter network security key to connect the wifi router. "netsh wlan show profiles" command is not working. Now how to enter the password for the wifi router? And I am not sure if the WIFI is running in the server. Please shed some light. Thanks

Problem solved by manually registering from command line with 'regsvr32 jplaydriver64.dll' as suggested by Josef of Jplay. Nice support from them. With Win2016 core + AO2.20B5 + Jplay sounds very nice!

Installed Windows 2016 core with AO 5.2B5 + Foobar2K and working fine. After JPlay-6.2 installed, ASIO:JPlay driver is not showing in Foobar2k output, it is showing all the output device namely ASIO:XMOS USB, KS, WASAPI & DS except ASIO:JPlay. But JPlay mini is playing fine. Tried installing and reinstalling Singxer F-1 Driver and JPlay but no luck. JPlay mini is working but no JPlay ASIO output in Foobar2K. Anybody having this problem with Foobar & JPlay in Win2016 Core mode? Please shed some light in this issue. Thanks.
