My initial impression of the RUR I ordered a recovery usb relocker last Thursday and received it today. Plugged it into my rig between my dell 4th gen i7 pc music server running JRiver and my w4s dac 2 dsd se and all I can say is Holy Cow! A very audible improvement in the soundstage from my old belle klipsch speakers with the volte horn upgrade and alk crossovers. How can this be? Don't know. The bands brown cd flac rip sounded better than l remember the record sounding. Listening to classical and jazz stuff is also something else. Excellent and distinct placement of the instruments in the sound stage Thank You wyred 4 sound.

I just got a V-link 192 up and running on my system. It replaces a squeezebox touch. The sound stage is really improved. The V-Link 192 goes through a Wyred4sound DAC1 which I am also happy with. Have Fun!

I reinstalled Windows 7, Installed V-Link 192 drivers then reinstalled Windows 8 and everything is working. Hopefully it will continue working. Must be an easier way...If I only had a brain

Miska Thanks for the info. I think where I messed up is that my laptop has only USB3 ports and in Windows8 I can not remove the USB3 drivers, or have yet to figure it out :] . Back to the drawing board. Peace

Does the V-Link 192 driver show the red mark on it in the device manager? I tried installing in Windows 8 and the V - Link 192 showed the lock light for a short time and then it lost lock. I could not get it to re lock after several attempts of reloading the driver. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks
