  1. Hello, I have a hard drive connected to my Node 2i which works perfectly playing music. The problem is 10-20% of the albums don't show the album art. The files are AIFF ripped with Mac Mini using XLD. I don't know exactly where the album art is located, and can't find a way to check properties to look for discrepancies. Hoping someone here may have solved this problem, or has some advice. Thanks.
  2. Considering your budget I would recommend the NAD HP50s mentioned above. My main headphones are the Sennheiser HD650s (love'em) and my choice for headphones when driven by low powered devices are the NADs. They come closest to the Senns sound I have found.
  3. As someone who owned the Maggie 12QRs I would hesitate to use them in a room with your dimensions unless you could set them up in a diagonal configuration. I had the Sound Anchor stands with mine but actually preferred the sound with the standard feet. If the seller does respond do go listen to them. And don't just listen seated. Get up and walk around them as they have a very unique character when not in the sweet spot; more than any other speaker I've oowned. If you are still considering the Dynaudios speakers I would suggest the Focus 110. I owned a pair and had them set up in a room that was 11.5 x 13 x 8 and they had no problem at all filling the room. I know you said active are out but a pair of the Focus 110A (active model) might pair nicely with the Yamaha preamp. Here's a link to an AudioGon ad (I have no interest in this sale) DYNAUDIO FOCUS 110A POWERED MONITORS - ROSEWOOD EXCELLENT DEMO - WARRANTY | Monitors | Scottsdale, Arizona 85260 | AudiogoN - The High-end Audio Community Hope the link works.
  4. I built a very nice little amp with my grandson using one of these modules. You'd probably need to find a Euro source for this to make it worthwhile. 2x100W at 4 Ohm TK2050 Class-T Audio Amplifier Board Only
  5. I'm sure the casing is brass but not sure about the locking pin. I now use BFA bananas as recommended above. I found some BFA connectors which had the copper blade running the full length of the connector. This allowed the speaker cable to make direct contact with the copper blade. Audible difference? Not to my ears, but I'm not one who sits and listens for such differences. No time for that.
  6. I used those GLS connectors a few years back. They do secure the connector to the post very well. Just be sure to unlock them before pulling to hard on them. I nearly pulled a monitor off its stand once, thank goodness for blu-tac.
