  1. Hmm, strange. Maybe someone got the 2010s confused with 2010s2. But then I think Exposure introduced the DAC with the s2 series in the first place so why would someone be confused. Anyways, thanks for the info. I have got in touch with Peter Kaufmann and awaiting some further details from his side.
  2. It is cheap when viewed from PPP (purchasing power parity) perspective One more question - Is the 2010s2 DAC now discontinued? I just got to read something on this line couple of mins back on another forum.
  3. If you think swiss prices are high, wait till you pay more than CHF 2100 for the 2010s2 DAC here in India. I can look at UK if I can figure out a way to handle the customs. Anyways, I am exploring both of the options as of now.
  4. Thanks for the lead. I will check with the shop ... though a quick visit to the website does not show the DAC amongst the Exposure portfolio. As for the home trial, that won't be a possibility as I am based in India Since my wife may be travelling to Neuchatel for a week or so hence I am trying to figure out an arrangement. As for the USB implementation, when you say it doesn't accept anything other than 24/96, are you implying that if I rip my CDs at 16/44, I would need a sample rate conversion engine? Or does the USB not play anything higher than 24/96? All of my music is in CDs and I do not see that changing in near future.
  5. I actually spoke with them and they mentioned that they only act as a reseller for Exposure. They said they will share with me a list of retail outlets which may stock the product so awaiting their reply. However, any other clues to this would be most welcome. Any regional AV dealers who ship to international locations?
  6. Missed my main question in the previous post ! - from where in Zurich can one readily procure the DAC? And any chance one can buy it in Neuchatel?
  7. Musicophile, you needn't despair! I am trying to get onto the bandwagon of Exposure's portfolio starting with the 2010s2 DAC and then hopefully moving onto the 2010s2 int amp. And you review helped me a lot I had the chance to listen to the combo of 2010s2 Amp+CDP with ProAc's Studio 115s and I came back very impressed. So while the speakers are not yet in the horizon, I started looking at the Amp+CDP combo. But since I am keen to have an upgrade path, I have decided to dump the CDP for the DAC while using my Sony BDP as the transport. I know it is not the most robust of a transport but beats buying a CDP and then making it redundant by getting a DAC. One quick question - how do you rate the USB implementation on the DAC? I hope it plays at the CD level at least?
