Having been let down repeatedly by my PC headset, I remembered a post claiming that purchasing headphones and a microphone separately would result in better quality and value. I decided to come here because people seem to know what they're talking about and while I want good sound quality, I have no knowledge of such things.
Basically I need recommendations for a new set of headphones and a microphone.
As a gamer, I require surround sound to best hear my enemies, at the same time I'd like to have the best sound quality possible. My price range is <£150.
I'm a lot less picky about the microphone, but obviously I'd like good sound quality without a huge price-tag.
