  1. thats the thing is giving me headache! haha dunno what went wrong where.. haha i agree with what you said that the mac has no issues since its able to have sound when select TV Speakers.. PS3 and TV (through antenna while waiting for STB to arrive) are all fine through the setup. I can get sound going through the D3 and to my T-Amp. Its just the MAC. All i can think of is some conflict between the Mac and LED perhaps? Unless the sound format from MAC is not supported by the DAC or Toslink. Perhaps i should just call LG then? hehe I have tried all the different HDMI ports and also tried with different cables and also rebooted along the way. But no luck for me!! grrrr
  2. What kinda separate connection shall i need or be doing for my setup? What extra thing do i need? Are there any Toslink splitter out there or do i need another DAC? was told that D3 only transmit SPDIF in stereo and that might be the cause of it all.
  3. Hi Guys, First of all i am no expeert in this thus me writing in for HELP. I just love music, movies and gaming with moderate bang! I have a MBP 15" i7 which i bought late 2011. ( .2GHz i7 CORE) I wanna pair it with FiiO D3 DAC and to my SMSL SA-98 2 channel T-Amp. Well this is until i get my AVR. So here is how i connected all of it. ( Dunno if what i did is right.. haha) MBP and PS3 to LG LED (47LM6200) via HDMI cable. HDMI to MBP via a minidisplay port to HDMI. LED TV to FiiO D3 via Toslink FiiO D3 to SMSL T-Amp via RCA cables T-Amp to Wharfes DIA 10.1 via Speaker Wires I am able to get sound from PS3 and TV when i select external speakers on the TV but it does not work for the MBP. There is no sound no matter which settins i select. I have used this setup before on my previous 32" Samsung LED minus the FiiO DAC and it works. Sound out is from Samsung Headphone out. Used a 3.5mm to RCA which was connected to the T-Amp directly. I can get sounds for Mac, TV and PS3 this way. Just that the new setup does not allow me to get sound from my MBP unless i select TV Speaker which only gives sound from the sucky TV Speakers. What can be done here guys? Help needed.
