  1. Okay, I have an update from Ray at Auraliti. Apparently the current Auraliti software has a problem with dsf 2x files (a.k.a. DSD128, double DSD, or 5.6MHz) but it can play dff 2x files. Ray suggested I try converting my dsf files to dff. I converted to dff using Korg AudioGate, keeping the sample rate at 5.6 MHz, and the Auraliti plays them! My Sonore/exD DAC also handles the files with no problem. The tracks sound great, though so far I haven't had time to compare DSD128 to DSD64 on the same material.
  2. Thanks. I don't think I have the same problem, because my Auraliti plays DSD64 files just fine. It just doesn't recognize DSD128 files, which are far less common. Also, the Auraliti's Linux software is inaccessible to the average user, so I can't make changes to it. I logged my question today with Ray at Auraliti. He said he will look into whether the latest PK90-USB software handles DSD128 files, and would get back to me. I'll post an update when I have more information.
  3. Thanks. I was intending to try contacting Auraliti after the Memorial Day holiday. Unfortunately, Auraliti has been unresponsive to emails in the past, so I may try calling them. I'll report back what I find.
  4. Hi folks. I bought an Auraliti PK90-USB last September, and I've happily been using it with a Sonore/exD DSD DAC. Recently, I decided to acquire some DSD128 files -- the Sonore should play them -- mainly to see if I could tell any difference from DSD64. Unfortunately, the Auraliti won't recognize my DSD128 dsf files. I've tried rebuilding the database, but the Auraliti only sees the directory where I've stored the DSD128 files. It doesn't show any files inside the directory. I've tried various MPD client programs -- iPad, iPod, Gnome, etc. -- with the same result. Should the Auraliti PK90-USB be able to recognize and play DSD128 files? Do I need to change its settings somehow, or maybe get a software update from Auraliti? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. robinsondm
