I started using my squeezebox touch with my iDac. Everything usually starts off fine and then after some time I get clicking and popping in playback. Switching inputs away from and back to the squeezebox on the iDac usually fixes the problem for a bit, then it returns. I notice it more with iTunes files than my flac files but it also does it when I'm streaming Pandora from the squeezebox. Any ideas why this is happening?

Listener, I should have my 4 in a few weeks. Right now I have the 3 and a Legend Tikandi setup. Source is an XDS1 and my amps are Theta Dreadnaught IIIs. With the 3 I always felt that it would benefit from a seperate analog preamp. Are you saying that you now feel the Deqx alone between source and amps is a superb preamp? Also, my 3 is set up using the digital volume control. I was under the impression that setting it to analog required a seperate preamp between the source and the Deqx.
