  1. Hey Bill, what do you do to upsample the Metrum Octave? Thanks
  2. hey bill, what player are you using? does the offramp have an active contribution in lowering the volume, like the audiophilleo 1 does?
  3. Did anyone try the Chord QuteHD with the iFi USB direct into its usb input? It would be great, I think. I am wondering how it would sound against the Audiophilleo; I am also wondering how the DSD would sound (also against the MPD3) with the QuteHD taking usb after the iFi. Thanks Tony
  4. By the way you talk, I am sure the Diverter fits you much better as a necklace than as an earring.
  5. Hey Elberoth. Great work, thank you. It would be great if you managed to get a Sonicwed Diverter HR: that's another great converter, and I'm curious to see where it would stack up against the Berkeley, the Offramp and the AP1+PP. Do you think you will have a chance to find it? It looks like the "biggest" hole in this wonderful comparison. Cheers Tony
  6. The USB implementation on the Octave II looks pretty good and seems very similar to that of the HEX. Who has experience with the latter's sound?
  7. Hey Bill, where could I find a bit more information as to what integer mode is? Why is it supposed to be better? Cheers
  8. Hey Bill, thanks for your explanation. Can we expect the circuitry of the QuteHD to be basically the same? Also, as to the Offramp: did you know that the usb software and firmware are licensed from M2Tech? Because of this, where do you expect the main differences to lie, in the Offramp 5? Have you ever heard the Diverter HR? Sorry for the (small) thread hijack T
  9. Hey Bill, first of all, I admire your extensive gear experience and taste; I have been reading several posts of yours and find them to be either 'close to my thinking' or simply 'teaching'. I wanted to ask: do you think that, using a very good regulated PSU and a high end usb converter (such as the Audiophilleo 2 or your Offramp), the QuteHD will be sounding like the Chord more expensive DAC, minus the connectivity and additional features? Cheers! Tony
  10. I had pm'ed you yesterday. The fact that I am not a regular poster on this forum doesn't mean that I should be ignored.
