  1. Well for what it's worth, I thought I'd post some positive feedback instead of a support question. At some point Audirvana quit supporting DSD playback on my Geek Out 1000. It worked fine in earlier versions but then the DAC would crash and had to be unplugged from USB then back in to get it to reboot. So with the current of Audirvana 3.5.18 DSD playback is working again. I have to set it manually to DoP 1.0 as I did before and now everything works again. I'm guessing it's somehow related to all the macOS changes, but I could be wrong. Now I have no idea when it started working again because I really would like to know the root cause but for now I'm happy and ignorant. I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.6
  2. Well that was a short-lived evaluation, current version stalls playback quite a bit. Guess I'll go back to my Mac Mini.
  3. Just downloaded the Windows version. I experienced some stability issues and due to the new UI, it took a few minutes to find where all the options are. With everything at default non-oversampling and compared to the native Windows Tidal player, A+ is CLEARLY superior. I haven't tried playing any files but since getting a Tidal subscription, I pretty much stream only. So far so good, I'll probably pull the trigger and buy a license at the end of the trial. My existing license on my Mac Mini may get moved to my main stereo for Tidal playback there. Gotta love having options.
  4. Now that I have Ubuntu WSL tuned enough on my Win10 rig, that’s my main workstation for work. So this is really welcome news. @damien78 I’m happy to be a beta tester.
  5. Quite possibly so. Also the Emerald Physics 100.2 (that I use 2X as monoblocks), I believe have a linear power supply. That might also have an impact. Where I live now has very modern wiring, but the Furman definitely helps. When used in a really electrically noisy environment, it can provide a drastic improvement.
  6. One of the marketing promises of Class D is immunity to AC power quality. When I lived in an apartment, the AC quality was so bad, I could hear noise in my listening seat coming through my various solid-state and tube gear (this is before I owned any Class D amps). So I tried various techniques to fix the problem and finally got fed up and bought a Furman P-2400 IT Power Conditioner. It was expensive and considered a hifi no-no because transformer isolation based power conditioners can limit dynamic swings in really power hungry amplifiers. I found that the Furman not only fixed the noise problem but, the dynamics (especially on my tube amps) got better because hum and other noise was eliminated. With my Class D amps plugged into the Furman, they sound also improved, but ESPECIALLY the dynamics. I have yet to experiment with the AC cords, I may go with DIY solution as that’s something I think I can accomplish.
  7. Emerald Physics EP100.2 - bought two to run as monoblocks. Wonderful amps IMO. Not perfect as there is no such thing. I still rotate in my Quicksilver V4's and some other solid-state Class A & AB stuff as the mood strikes. But the EP's are in use 90% of the time.
  8. LIFE SUCKS! And then, you DIE!
  9. I would expect a pretty big difference between any two components given a cost difference of 10X.
  10. Reference CODE: ad52fc1d-2319-4a39-bf73-68531be6ac74-0 on bug report
  11. I've downloaded a fresh image and updated to v158. I can't seem to select USB-DAC from SSH using dietpi-config or using the Allo GUI web interface. Upon rebooting, the USBridge hangs. Attached is a screenshot of the HDMI output
  12. Try resetting your installation of A+, it helped stabilize some problems I was having:
  13. I am having similar issues with my Geek Out 1000 and A+, but only when playing DSD. PCM plays fine all the way to 384 KHz.
  14. LOL, I know it's something very specific to my set up. My music rig is also my software development workstation, I wish I could dedicate something just for playback, hence the Moode Audio "experiment". A+ is still my fave, will wait for updates and see what develops. Thanks again for your help! EDIT: There's possibly and iFi micro iDSD BL in my future. That may wind up solving this problem.
