does anyone have experience using a dac with stax sr-5 earspeakers and srd-6? I am trying to get the best sound out of ALAC files and cant find much info on which route to take since the stax are ~30years old.
current equipment is:
laptop, rotel rc 1550 preamp, rotel rb 1580 amp, stax srd-6, sr-5 earspeakers/definitive technology 350 studio monitors (8ohm) - in that order
There's no use for the headphone amp with the DAC since i love the stax but the studio monitors are my main focus
Is the current set-up the best way to route because the studio monitors and sr-5s are both going through the srd-6?
any recommendations/help is appreciated in my beginning stages of audiophilia
