hello you really interest me a lot because we seem to have met the same hotpoints ;-) I 've heard about the Stealth cable as such of the best digital cables in the world ; actually I have a Transparent Reference which is very good but perhaps not as good as the Stealth. Did you try the mac without any interface like Weiss , just to compare ?

Does the hardware, especially the AC power adapter of the mini, have any care ? Would a Macbook have been better than the mini regards to the audio results ?

First, I beg your pardon for my english ; I'm french and I'm quite good tasting a wine but less writing in english. I've tried a mac mini with iTunes (rip + player) as a transport on my system which is quite high-end (full Goldmund). I compared it to a Asus PC F3JV runnin with Foobar 2k with ASIO tools, rips made by Exact Audio Copy. The both machines were linked to the Goldmund universal preamplifier with USB entry. All ripped in wav. And... the PC won ! Depth of bass, precision, details and definition... Could you explain me why ? Should not iTunes be bitperfect with a Mac ? I had made all the "good configs" for itunes : desable equalizer , volume max, error correction "on", ... Was it a hardware or software problem ?
