  1. I believe the owner's name is Robert Stein. I dealt with him many years ago when the company was in its early years and was much smaller. I found him and his staff to be very knowledgable and helpful.

I downloaded the demo version and thought the $45 upgrade cost would last through the demo period. Wrong!!! When I tried to purchase PM 2.0 yesterday, the price was $79. I will have to pass on it for that price
  3. Thanks, Damien. This solved all of my problems. No more stoppages when playing 176 or 192 khz files. Robert
  4. I reported on similar problems earlier in the week. After re-installation of 1.5.6, several re-boots, and making sure that all unnecessary operations have been turned off, the issue of playback shut down is still a problem for me. It only seems to happen with 192/24 or 176/24 files. These problems aside, the sound quality is amazing. Robert
  5. I am still having this problem of 1.5.6 shutting down in the middle of a track even with no upsampling. Can someone tell me how to get 1.5.5 back? I was a little to quick in deleting it from the trash. Robert
  6. I experienced the same issue. I was using upsampling in playlist mode and could not get past the first track. Now trying with no upsampling. Did not have any problems with 1.5.5. Robert
  7. I would also sign up to this wish list in a heartbeat as I have been struggling for a year now with constant glitches when playing 179/24 and 192/24 files. Customer support has responded a couple of times over the past year, but basically Amarra support has been non-existent. This leads me to believe they are aware of the issue but have no clues as to resolve the problems. I, too, have moved on to other players but would welcome back a new and reliable Amarra player. Robert
  8. I have used integer mode exclusively with an Ayre QB9 Robert
  9. For 176 and 192 khz files I have had glitch free playback with both Audirvana+ and Pure Music. As for sound quality, my preference is for Audirvana+ Robert
  10. With 1.4.9.9 I am still getting error messages when loading playlists directly. When trying to play an album using itunes integrated mode, the music plays but the songs are not from the album I selected. Instead songs from numerous albums seem to randomly play. Robert
  11. I believe Ralph is who I worked with last year. I thought he was very thorough in is approach but was not able to reproduce the problem at Amarra. I even sent them a couple of files where the problems were very significant, but that is where the communication ended as I never heard back. My dealer, who has been promoting Amarra since 2009 has told me that Amarra is aware of the ticks, spits, pops issue with some installations but has not yet found a solution. Good luck with your session. Robert
  12. I have been away for awhile and just did the Amarra 2.5 update last night. Unfortunately, I am still having the same problem of significant ticks, spits, and pops when playing files with resolutions greater than 96/24. Last night I played the new Audiogon HD Tracks samples that was available in AIFF format, so no conversion was necessary. This problem started about a year ago, and I have reported it to Amarra technical support and generally get no response. I did have one remote troubleshooting session with them last summer, but no solutions were implemented. I will say however, that with files of 96/24 resolution or lower, I believe that Amarra is one of the best players out there. My experience, though, with the higher resolution files is still a no go. I will contact Ammarra again to try and reslolve the problem. I think my situation is something they are aware of (according to my audio dealer), but have not been able to come up with a fix. Roberty
  13. Very interesting. For nearly a year now, I have experienced rather severe static issues with Amarra. In my case, however, I get the noise when playing files with resolutions greater than 96/24. 16/44 and 24/96 files ply fine. I have sent several Emil's to Amarra tech support and have a one remote support session. With no solution to this issue I basically gave up on Amarra and moved to the Audirvana+ player which handles the higher resolution files without any problems. I have not tried the latest Amarra build yet but will try it in the next few weeks.
  14. I also cannot get beyond the first step. When I double click on the Install Key (Media Center Mac ....mjr) that was attached to email, I am asked to choose an application to open the file and am clueless as to what to do.
