Has anyone had problem after running the powershell commends from page 9 in the word document from post #9? For some reason i get an error with my network connection where it says that the dependency services or group failed to start.

Has anyone done an A/B comparison with server 2012R2?

I will try to find the post from Superdad. The exchange is free, so it's just a question if I there pro's in doing it. Since the performance of the current one that I have seems to be better, then it should be because of the improvements in the sound quality. But it might be that the benchamarks that I've found isn't correct.

Hi souptin, thanks for your reply. Yes the HiFace2 is only a USB2.0 device. It might be pure theory, but the question is if the overhead bandwidth on the USB3.0 port makes any difference. I assume that there could also be other factors that could make a difference.

I have a chance to swap my current Mac Mini 5,2 (recall it as being a Mid 2011) with a Late 2012 model, but looking at the specifications it looks like the current one should be faster. The current one has a dual core i7 and the Radeon 6630M dedicated graphics card where the Late 2012 is equipped with a dual core i5 and the Intel HD4000 graphics card. I know that one of the differences between them is the USB ports. The Late 2012 has USB3.0, and my question is if this has an affects the sound quality? I’m using an M2Tech HiFace2 to transfer the signal to my DAC which hasn’t to an USB interface. Can anyone give a recommendation if it would be worth going with the Late 2012, or would it be better to stick with the one I got?

Thanks for the replies. I have been running the trail version of Audirvana and Fidelia. I saw some of the options in Audirvana, but thought that there might be other stuff to improve.

Hi everybody, Like many others I have a Mac Mini which I use for audio playback. I know that companies like mach2music applied some different setups and tweaks to OS X in general to improve the sound quality. Does anyone have an idea of what they actually did? Please let me know if you could recommend a specific setup, tweak or mod to OS X. Best regards Polmann
