  1. The new board is a wonderful upgrade, I will be taking my Singxer SU-6 out of the system now and just using USB input on the Terminator.
  2. Should have my board Friday, hopefully I'll have time to play this weekend.
  3. My yggy is boxed up and ready to go back for analog 2 upgrade, it will be awhile before it's back and all settled in.
  4. I listened to the X20pro several times (speakers & headphones) but not in my system, I just didn't think it was a big enough difference to upgrade.
  5. My X20u is sold now and with having a good number of hours on the X22, to me it was definitely worth the upgrade, only the bottom end stayed close to the X20. The analog sound I'm getting is so non-fatiguing now (a long burn-in time and using balanced-out).
  6. My Gustard X22 has a good 200hrs on it now, compared to the X20U it has more of a analog sound (less digital) definitely smoother. Soundstage is close to being the same so is the bottom end which was very good already. The top end is less fatiguing with all the detail. The X22 was the first time I ever used a dac directly to my amps (preamp went out for a upgrade) and it worked great using the X22 remote, SQ going direct has more mid-bass/bass not bad just more than I'm used to. All in all I'm very happy with the upgrade to the X22, using balanced throughout.
  7. They are shipping now. My previous Gustard took a few hundred hours of burn-in to smooth everything out, X22 does sound smooth out of the box but I'll let it play for a week or so.
  8. Question, I use my dac's for speakers (2ch) Is the Cyan DSD more suited for headphones.
  9. I would like to thank everyone for the great info on modding the SU-1, will there be a long break-in with these new caps. I went with the Sparko 3.3v/ Pan FR 100uF/FR 330uF and Nichicon R7 220uf (just like Duy Le). Also using a LPS-1 ultracap with it.
  10. I'm using the Supreme with jriver, it also detects the dac as xcore. I have no issues with playing DSD64 or DSD128 so it could be in your settings.
  11. Selling my Sonore exD dac, I'm the original owner and the DAC is in excellent condition. The capacitors have been upgraded to Mundorf's. The dac supports 192k Hz/24 bit, DSD and double DSD. The only reason I'm letting it go is USB only input. Comes with disc with drivers (no driver needed for Mac) and manual, No power cord. $800 net to me, I will ship. PayPal +3% exD DSD/PCM DAC
  12. After about four hrs burn-in I'm very happy in what I'm hearing, I will give it a while before any critical listening. I don't have to worry about the extra gain that the Sparko Labs op-amps have, sound is so smooth and analog like I just kept turning it up. A plus with the Sparko op-amps they are very low profile unlike other discrete op-amps. DSD is a big plus too.
  13. Bill, thanks for the info. Pre-amp is passive/active, shouldn't be any worries. It will be nice to get a little warm tube sound in my system.
