Hi Rod, I am affraid that card will not solve your problem. I did not mention earlier that before the NEC-chip based USB2 pci card I tried a VIA USB2 and a NEC USB3 card without success. As I checked your HP 310 pc I realized that you have no free pci slot to use in your system. So you have two solutions: Keith suggestion (swop to a later Hiface unit) would be fine, or you must change to an Intel based pc. Best wishes Joco

Hi Rod, I had almost the same frustrating situation. I have also an AMD based PC (phenom 955, asrock 970 mb, 8Gb ram and Kingston SSD, Win7 64 ) with Hiface and Beresford Dac. The problem as I know now is the USB-implementation of the AMD-based system, somehow it prevents the normal use of Hiface! Fortunately I could solve the problem with a Nec USB2 PCI card. By the use of it, Hiface works like a charm. Best wishes Joco
