  1. Nice write up, i have been using this setup for two years now and have no problems at all, streaming full res audio (16/44) works 90% of the time, but a fallback to mp3 works 100% out of my house via Jremote to phone and bluetooth to car stereo as well. In my house streaming to anywhere on my network works perfect. This is the best money spent today for our hobby. Don't really understand why more people aren't using this. I have access to 100,000+ tracks anywhere in the world. Blows people's mind when i show them.
  2. jvlata Thank you very much! I only use in list view because i have so many missing artworks. I guess most people use the Album view.
  3. David I'm tagging flac files and it's with both single and multiple files selected. Now i'm only talking about this behavior in the ALBUM field, and how can i save anything when it keeps reverting to the previous entry, A2+ does not allow me to make a change in the ALBUM field, so i never get the save dialog box.
  4. A+ overrides anything i try to do, i'm stuck with my original entry. JRiver does this too, but you can delete the suggestion and enter what you want. This is very annoying.
  5. Just noticed this in A+2. When i try to edit the album field (in this case the lower case m) A+2 overrides it (in blue) and puts back in the same as i'm trying to correct. I tried quitting and correcting in a metadata editor, but A+2 still shows the lower case m when i re-scan my library folder. In A+ 1.5 it shows correctly. Am i missing something?
  6. Mine seems to be working now after quitting and restarting both phone and computer.
  7. I'm having the same problem in reverse, i can only control player and not this device. I really didn't notice because i always control the player, but today i wanted to stream to my iPhone and it doesn't work. JRMC 20 on MAC and Jremote 3.08 I guess it broke with new version of Jremote.
  8. Just launched A + 2 and it just auto synched my one library folder where i had 11,000 untagged songs that i had deleted when i first imported the folder. It took almost 40 minutes to delete these files. I am a paid user and supporter of this software, but this new version is just too much work to try to get working properly. I'm back to just drag and drop one album at a time onto version 1.5x and just enjoying my music. I'll patiently wait until the bugs are worked out.
  9. If a TV is part of your system.. Just run HDMI cable from Apple TV to tv, then analog out of the tv (RCA) to your preamp. This is how i do it, sounds ok for streaming files.
  10. I have A + 2 installed on two computers. On my work MAC (2011 iMac 12 Gb 10.8.5 ) everything works and sounds great except i can't delete one library folder that doesn't exist anymore, and a newly added folder becomes the one i can't delete?? This library has 10,000 tracks. On my home music MAC (2009 Mac Mini 8 GB 10.9.4) i have 90,000 tracks on 3 external drives. I added all the tracks on my first import. I takes 3 or 4 minutes to start playing a track, then when i try to play another track or edit metadata A +2 just freezes. I cut down the library to 45,000 tracks and it has the same problems. With the library reduced down to 10,000 tracks, things are working ok. JRMC works perfect on the same machine with all the tracks. I'd like to stick with A + 2 because i really prefer the sound quality.
  11. Why are so many people unhappy with JRiver? I bought this program and i am very happy with all the features and the sound quality (even as a beta) We should all feel blessed that a program with all Media Center's potential is being developed at all and i feel paying a fair price to help that development along is very reasonable. I haven't seen folks talk the same way about Audirvana, a program that is more expensive and is basically still under development with a lot less features and is also tied to possible problems when iTunes updates to newer versions. I paid for this too, as i am happy to support a worthwhile program that the author continues to develop.
  12. I use Audiogate for Mac to convert DSD > PCM. Jriver Media Center for MAC will not work (yet) it converts DSD to 16/384 files, although you can tag and play files fine and will downsample to 24/192 PCM and sounds very good. Why convert the files? It takes a lot of time. All of the players that play DSD downsample to PCM and sound good.
  13. Damien The SSD is the internal drive, the old drive is out of the computer and not mounted. All of the music files and the proxy folder reside on external drives. Only applications are on the SSD. Here's screen captures of the folder and get info windows. The new proxy file added today plays fine. The older ones don't play. You can see in the get info window, the paths are identical. Also why is the new proxy 184 kb and the older ones 94?
  14. Doesn't work with the old name. This is bad i have to re-proxy 400 live recordings, i'll just convert to Apple Lossless, so this doesn't happen again. Non of the paths of my Itunes files were broken. They all work fine.
  15. I recently installed a SS Hard Drive in my Mac Mini, and cloned it from my old drive. Everything seems to work fine...but I can't play any of my proxies in A+ although if i create a new proxy, it works fine. I tried both 1.3.9.4 and 1.3.5 In standalone mode everything plays perfect.
